We made it so, in this Level1 Diagnostic

So the text version is pretty simple -- The Hive light uses an Atmega AVR from Atmel -- heart of some Adruino type devices -- but our firmware can't be updated because of a lack of bootloader.

No problem. We've got an STK500 from back in the day, we'll use that. Rats, can't find my DB9 adapter.

No problem, I'll flash another arduino to use as an ISP because that's easier than wiring up the FTDI adapter to the STK500 or finding the DB9 null modem adapter.

Then it mysteriously doesn't work and requires a little bit of thinking to solve the last problem with tie breadboard circuit. A simple cap.

Aaaaaaand firmware updated. :D

ROFL. So one of the side effects of never talking to other people is that I think photographically and will mess up pictures to words translations in hilarious ways. That was supposed to be 3-4 hundred watts of light incandescent (sodium) equivalent but since it's led it's only like 75w. It's really hilarious when I mix up proper names. Or refer to things using the memory palace object description.

"It puts out like 3-4 hundred watts of heat, but it only uses like 75 watts of electricity" I think we found the solution to the energy crisis people

amazing as usual :)

Gosh, I hate acronyms. ISP, what does an Internet Service Provider have to do with this? Oh, In System Programmer.
