Super interesting topic. I saw the Roger Rabbit video a few months and and just blew my mind and made me appreciate the movie even more. Roger Rabbit was my first DVD movie purchase which was also a super unique "collectors" edition when they are a new idea for DVDs. I think not mentioning Muppets (or other Jim Henson production) was a missed opportunity. As a first time listener of this cast is it always that scattered? I'm not sure if it was the guest or what but it seemed like you had a ton of good points and things to discuss but they got lost in all the directions the conversations and jokes jabbed in.

Donald Glover is in Han Solo and Spider-Man: Homecoming. But better than that Andy Serkis is in Marvel (Ulysses Klaue), Star Wars (Supreme Leader Snoke), Middle Earth (Gollum) and Planet of the Apes (Caesar). Zoe Saldana does well for herself being in Marvel, Star Trek and Avatar. Hugo Weaving was in the Matrix, Middle Earth and Marvel. Gal Gadot is in DC and Fast and Furious. Stanley Tucci is in Marvel, Hunger Games and Transformers. And the great Christopher Lee was in Star Wars, Middle Earth, 007 and Hammer Horror. Also Sigourney Weaver is in Marvel Netflix, Avatar, Ghostbusters and Alien. Samuel L Jackson is in Marvel, Star Wars, Kaiju Monsterverse and Tarantino Films which are a franchise unto themselves. There's also a bunch of people in the X-Men franchise that have been in other successful and culturally relevant franchises.

I'm at 28 mins. I'll be a sad panda if y'all don't mention Audrey II in Little Shop of Horrors. Moranis even had to sing in slow motion so they could operate the puppet then play it back in real time.

Simon Pegg, so far, has been in both Star Wars *and* Star Trek, so he just needs to get a small role in a Marvel movie and he's set.

Great episode! Was a very fun listen, and I think you touched on a lot of really interesting points, especially liked the way you phrased "an artist given free reign doesn't mean artist distilled or at peak form." Critics love the auteur theory, but a great film isn't one person's vision. Collaborators bring out an artists' best self, and we are better people when we're surrounded by others, etc etc.

I still cant believe they didn't get Taiwyn* Lannister to play Grand Moff Tarkin in Rogue One. It was jarring to look at and i also thought they would just keep it as a reflection head shot cameo.
