I totally agree with what's been said. After watching it the first time I didn't notice Doomfist was in jail, I'd blame this one the lousy establishing shots as Kyle said, and I definitely didn't realize the fight was a flashback. While the animation is great and it delivers the kind of attitude Doomfist has, it fails to tells us his origin story which is the trailer title. 8.5 because it's an awesome animation! I'm gonna agree with Kyle, the first two opening shots of the DoomFist trailer are not strong. But the trailer is very very good. I'm gonna say 8.7. LnR!

Blizzard does a great job with their animation, always impressive. I would like to recommend the Gigantic launch trailer, which is a free-to-play game that has been in open beta for a long while now and is finally getting its full release on July 20th this year. Made by the developers of Motiga, it has had a bumpy development cycle, although it has never stopped them from following their 3 core principles: Teamwork, Passion and Fun". I would recommend trying it for yourself if you own an Xbox One or Windows computer. Once again I want to suggest Xbox One X Reveal trailer. Nice choice for a fresh trailer jones ep crew. Those guys over at Blizzard really know how to sell a character’s personality and motivate a player to try them out in their next match. From the stunning kinetic animation, the emotion in the fight and the idea that you can now play this character because he literally broke out of prison was masterfully done, you can tell Blizzard are having fun over there. I was just going to throw in my two cents about doomfists motivation here and the continuity of the fight. I got the impression that the article posted on his jail cell wall with the headline “doomfist exhibit” outlines his reason to break out . To me, it feels likehe rejects the idea that he should be seen as a villain who should no longer be feared, considered as just a foot note in a history book. So his goal was to keep getting stronger so he could literally break down the walls to face the heroes once more to prove he was still a threat. As to the continuity of the fight I’m going to take a guess and say that the glove with the two kids in the original OW “pixar” trailer was infact the doomfist exhibit mentioned in the article. This also makes the most sense if we are to buy tracers “death” as canon because it would follow the events of the attempted museum heist . This could all be some overzealous guesswork but if true you’ve gotta give props to blizzard for caring about this kind of world building through their trailers alone. L&amp;R

fyi the fight between Doomfist and Overwatch is a flashback using one of the newspaper articles headlined "Guerilla from the Moon saves the Day" early in the trailer as evidence (first seen 0:16). It's easy to miss as there is a lot on screen in the shot where that article is. L&amp;R

Why rate something 8.4 0r 8.1? Like there's some hard science behind it. Why not just give it an 8.5, or an 8. With all respect and not meant to insult, but a score like 7.3 for instance just looks pretentious. Make it a 7 or a 7.5.

Yeah I get the frustration I felt it as well, but we have to remember they are evaluating the trailer, and if the trailer didn't indicate those things to new comers then it's the fault of the trailer.

I like the video but i have some criticism, having three people who doesn't play the game made me frustrated with some of the questions and answers, kyle said "it's not a map" but it's a map called Numbani were the payload had Doomfist arm but was stolen in last February, i have no problems with the score but having someone familiar with the franchise may helped answer some of your questions.
