I like the show a lot but yes the American nationalism and lack of knowledge of other countries does rear its ugly head from time to time. Anything about Russians, Muslims or Chinese is hard to listen to as often things like this shines through.

Yes, we have African exchange students in few large cities, i sometimes see them around universities in my city. But they constitute <0.001% of the country's population. Meanwhile we have actual ethnic minorities is the country, over a dozen of them (this may come as a surprise to many Muricans who think they are so unique in being a "melting pot" just because their minorities happen to have different easily distinguishable skin colours). So can anyone explain a reason why a black man is in the ad instead of them? Other than the company aping the Murican SJW trends without an ounce of self awareness to realise that they are doing it in a country where that single black man represents about 0.5% of the entire black population? Oh, and its gets better. Do you know what the restaurant is called in Russian? It roughly translates to "fucking-to-fuck". Yeah, it's that kind of bad taste marketing effort. Right along with using a black guy in an ad. Still surprised by people's reactions? P.S. Fuck your condescending attitude about "horrible things" and "those things" happening. You know what is horrible? BEing xenophobic fucks who think that if another culture does things differently from you - they are automatically bad because, of course, you're automatically correct. I’ve got a distant relative that lives in Europe and has never travelled. I’ve been to Japan and had their sushi. We’re chatting about food, turns out she never had sushi and decides to try it out. Next time we speak she tells me she had from a shop she found around her place and she really hated them. However, her aunt, who did have real sushi as well, gave it a taste and said that it’s not real sushi and that it tasted like garbage. Little moral here is, if it’s not a native food from where you are or it’s not really rooted into the culture (I.e, L.A, Montreal, New York foods) you will probably not have the original - that is especially important with sushi where preparation and quality of fish is the most important part.

While I love seafood, I have never had sushi and never wanted to for two reasons. First, I can't imagine raw seafood tasting good ever. Second, the one time I have tried nori was when I bought a package of roasted sheets of nori from South Korea from Trader Joes. They have two flavors, plain and spicy. I tried the plain ones. I expected it to maybe have a strong green plant taste like eating a lot of lettuce or spinach at once, but oh was I wrong. The taste reminded me of the cookie scene in Friends when Phoebe says "Now I know what evil tastes like!". I was totally shocked at how disgusting it tasted.
