Also, note that we are going to consider the feedback we get. Yes, we want ideas, but we are still thinking about how the basis of the videos should be. We don't want it to be a "so you've installed Linux" ground-up series, but we don't want it to be too advanced either.

Cool. I'd be interested to see a video on UFW and/or iptables. It's pretty base level knowledge, and has all sorts of applications and easy pitfalls, and I suck at it.
2021-05-17 20:38:27 +0000 UTCFor a future topic, perhaps a primer on readline? I imagine most people only know about arrow keys for single-step history and cursor movement. Learning about things like history search, larger cursor movements, cut/paste, etc., definite levels up one's productivity. And it's used by other programs so it doesn't just apply to the bash shell. (The mysql command for example also uses readline)

2021-05-14 17:49:15 +0000 UTCNot to be a nitpick, but...π... If you want to foreground a job, say job number 1, you can use the %1 instead of fg 1 on the commandline.
