As I commented on YouTube: Great job, Ryan. This is really well explained and something I wish I'd had when I started out with Linux, rather than having to learn all this through trial and error over the years. I've now been on Linux for nearly a decade, and didn't think I'd learn anything from a video like this today; and yet was pleasantly surprised to learn about $PIPESTATUS - that will be rather handy; thanks! And `|&`, for which I've always used the longer `2>&1 |`.
