2019-04-26 02:58:05 +0000 UTCFFX doesn't have a mandatory grind at all, though you are able to grind random encounters to level up if you're struggling with a boss. Several of the FFX ultimate weapons involve grinding, but none of the ultimate weapons are required to beat the game. Can't speak about FFX-2 because I never finished it.
