A long journey comes to end today on Tabletop Escapades.

Tabletop Escapades - Season 2 Episode 62 "Season Finale"

Comments

Well, finally caught up! Sad to see there are no plans to continue. I'd love to see some new characters, low level, in a different setting, maybe new people if you wanted a rest, I love D&D and I started on it mostly because of Tabletop Adventures, so thanks for all the great stories!

David Rodríguez Madriñán

Finally finished last night. Eagerly anticipating whatever you guys do next! I'm working my way through Fiasconauts as well, unfortunately I will run out of those soon too :( Those two shows have easily become my favorite EZA content, though of course I love all the other things you guys do too :) Keep us updated Ben kun!

Steven Perry

Fantastic ending Ben. I know some aspects of this season may have been frustrating to you (and some fans) since the party is so good at figuring how to "cheatcode" many situations. But the overall result has been so entertaining that it's fine for most of us at least 😁. I think the most amazing thing is that the RP of all the characters has been so on point, it really feels like watching a good TV show. I've never felt that way about tabletop before. I loved Season 0, AKA Tabletop Adventures at GT as well, and if there was a way to have a short few episode epilogue definitive conclusion to THAT campaign with Elyse, wow that would be something awesome!!! As great as Law, Yogalla, Pomper, Villiand, Zemnahr, Therese, Palvin, and Ben Created NPCs and even the main GT created characters, that monstrosity Spervince (brilliantly played by Elyse) will live on as GOAT!!

Dear Allies, may I suggest the Fantasy Flight Games Star Wars RPG with Jones involved? Love and Respect, Michael

Hey Ben, have you considered different systems to use? Y’all really seem like you’d work well in a Genesys system based on how you guys like to play.

Tristan Gray

It would be kinda cool if you switched things up and maybe did a scifi or different sort of module for the next tabletop season, and then come back to this story later on. Give yourselves a break while you explore new types of characters and encounters.

Kate Bishop

This show cannot end, I look forward to this more than any other show. What will fill the void!? Anyways thanks for another great season Allies, I hope to hear that catchy dnd song in the near future once again.

Rken Blade

Whether on hiatus or finished for good, this was the perfect way to go out. Such a great episode. Everyone was outstanding, but I want to make a special shout out for Brad's "Dark Zemnahr". So good.

Wool

I cried at the end. Thanks for this guys <3

Marcel "Giru017" Frohlich

Good job, Ben! Cool ending! Looking forward to whatever and whoever replaces this show in the future, or it continuing! Hooray!

Parasitepaladin

Please continue with 5e, new characters, maybe even a more established setting/adventure? (Ravnica maybe?..)

Tabletop has been one of my fave Allies shows, so I'd love to see it come back for a season 3. I do agree with some of the other comments that fresh characters and a new story, or even a new system, would be great :)

Fogtober

I'm down for just about whatever you guys decide to do, but I do think yall have maybe done D&D long enough with enough characters employed through those kinds of fantasy settings that it might be more fun for everyone involved to shake things up with a different roleplay setting and system that could lead to much different kinds of interactions, scenarios, and characters. Vampire and Cyberpunk were suggested above, and I'll also toss in that I've had fun with the Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay systems in the past, both the old school fantasy one and the futuristic 40k ones that can involve things like piloting spacecrafts even. So honestly, I'd just suggest taking this break time to explore what else is out there and gauge the group for what they might be most interested in, because there's some real fun roleplay offerings to be had outside of D&D that I'm sure would be a fresh change of pace while still having a roleplay show that's easy to film.

MBUN

Great ending. Thank you all. A break seems sensible but ultimately I really hope you keep going with TTE (in some format). Personally, I’d prefer new characters. But ultimately I’d say just do whatever feels best for you. The more you’re enjoying it the more we will!

Mark Benton

Wow, guys! Congrats! Season 2 was quite a ride. TTE was my jam this winter and I enjoyed it a lot. Please come back with season 3! This storyline demands a sequel. Though I would be fine with a different setting, if the allies would want a change of environment. Ben’s writing is so good, I’m sure a cyberpunk or vampire setting would be awesome too. But Tabletop or something like it, NEEDS to return! It’s just that great. Not just because of the game. It’s because of the great writing and awesome acting and role playing of you guys!

Bram

If it comes back (and I hope it does), I hope that it'll be with fresh characters, whether that's in this setting or another.

I love TTE, it and Fiasconauts are my favourite shows at Easy Allies. Please continue playing D&D. I dont mind if you cut the story where it is and start fresh, but just keep D&D going.

POKEY CLYDE

I care about these characters and their story so much ❤️ if the show doesn’t come back or changes drastically I can accept that. 100% love and respect

As a save comment I also think the writers of these shows and movies do these cliffhanger endings on purpose.... How dare you Ben....

Jeffrey Tessar

Totally cool with MCU wrapping up this year, GOT ending I can handle, conclusion of John Wick is cool with me, Walking Dead losing most its main characters can be understandable, and KH3 can also wrap up a good 15 years of lore...... but if Tabletop doesnt come back in some form I will not be able to have the peace in my life I have fought so hard for. I love you guys and all of your content is very good but this show is special for me and I hope to see you guys come back with renewed love and enthusiasm. Good luck either way LnR4L

Jeffrey Tessar

Feeling season 2 coming to a close, I was hoping that maybe season 3 could remain tabletop, but leave D&D behind and do something like Vampire or Cyberpunk... Or maybe even both with shorter story Arcs. But then that cliffhanger Ben!!! You got me! Even if you don't pick back up with these characters, I feel everyone should collaboratively write endings for their characters then maybe do a reading of the endings. Having said that, if Tabletop goes away for good, I'll be very very sad!

Matt Brookbank

To add on to this, if D&D does go away for good, I hope something takes its place. I think EZA is at its best when it’s doing improv. Whether that would mean a second fiasconauts every month, or something else, I don’t know, but yeah, I definitely think that’s where you’re most successful endeavours would be.

I have my fair share of problems with the show, season 2 in particular, but I really do think there is the potential for the show to be great. I definitely think that this should be the end for this story, however. If the show ever does come back, I’d like to see a bit of a shake up. Maybe have Ian as DM? I’d love to see him bring his own style of DMing to the show, and I’d love to see how Ben plays a character

I look forward to TTE every week and I hope you continue for as long as you want to do it.

I've been watching since Tabletop Adventures, so the idea that you might scrap TTE is really disheartening. Please keep doing it! It's my favorite part of the week, although I do think a refresh with new characters is in order.

Minamik

I really hope the show returns! I have watched every episode since the original GT party went on their quest, and it's become a favorite part of my week.

Thore Dørup

There seems to be a number of people upset with apparent promises being broken but fear not, Ben, this season has been a blast. I don't come to this show for Real D&D, I come for the inventive situations these hilarious characters get themselves into and out of. Take a bow.
