Not so much a correction, and not to dash any of Huber’s dreams, but Valhalla is being referred to internally at Ubisoft as “ACV”. Maybe there will be a proper Assassin’s Creed 5 (AC5) someday?

Great debut Jones. I watched/listened to the podcast, kind of in the background as I was working on some other things too. The show seemed to flow really well and the discussion seemed to remain lively throughout.

Great stuff all of you as usual and Jonesey especially! Very good throughout. It still feels weird that Kyle is not there but that is only because of his absence and not because how you do your thing. I think you struck a great balance between keeping things and redoing the format, it feels comforting both to have or wars allready in the first but equally comforting to feel that you are not afraid to change things when you see the need. I thought you would be on this level at your third episode at the soonest, kudos for putting worries to rest. You also seemed to enjoy this wich was very heartwarming, because before we all only knew that somebody of you would HAVE to do this. Now it seems you WANT to do this. Now i can go on missing Kyle completely disconnected from this podcasts and keep on enjoying it as usual. <3

I agree, and that is why Zelda II is the only Zelda to be an action RPG even though it is a platformer. But definitions are hard, I for one feel that Dark Souls is very much a Zelda game in a harsh metal world.

Fantastic job Jones! I loved the quick bonus headlines, great idea. And that was probably the best that Or Wars has ever been (Not just because of the hilarious, once in a lifetime, Kyle/Jones gag, but because all the dillemas were stellar and the singing was great juxtaposed to the silly oooor waaars). The only thing I felt was a tad off was the opening segment, it didn't have a lot of discussion but rather just thinking pauses. Someone else suggested that the allies should have to agree on a single bet, I think that would probably help create a bit more discussion since each ally would have to make more of a case for their opinion.
Doing great Jones!

Yooo shout out to Brandon Jones. I just want to say I've enjoyed all hosting gigs you've done over the years and I actually always thought you had a knack for it.
Ps. I wish you turned Kyle in to an item in good old video game fashion.

Ha ha ha. Oh man.. 10/10 guys. For all the worrying.. for all the "Will we be funny tho?" .. I laughed so much. Very good show to all. We've officially entered the Jones Zone.
My lone bit of feedback would be when you do the news blast (which I actually did like!), maybe throw in a 'stop me if you want to throw in anything on any of these' to open it up to the allies. Otherwise rock solid.

In the last podcast Kyle said that the allies will be funny, you don't need to make it happen. It just does.
He really was right. It's just clear that they are good friends having a very fun conversation.

Honestly I really really enjoyed that we got a Jones trailer take off the bat with Valhalla.
I was sort of expecting someone to notice that Valhalla ended with play it on series x, but I think the last two were notable for pairing with Microsoft so maybe it wasn't that big of a deal.

Loved the flow of that Valhalla discussion and I think the idea of priming/organizing certain panel members for select topics really worked out. Definitely felt some of the subtle tone shifts you were aiming for and man, those Or Wars questions were fire (Not to mention the singing!). Excited for some more next-gen talk in a week!

Jones I loved this episode, I am truly confident the podcast is in good hands, and even suspicious that the previous moderator may have been getting all the credit for many lols intended for other allies (where you at streamer, i know you creeping). If I had to nitpick, which on cup you asked us to do a bit, I would say just speed up the opening segment to make it more exciting. Something I know is more of a studio thing, but an easier way to distinguish the change of segments would help. I feel they almost bled into each other without much of a tonal shift. I loved the freedom you gave everyone and I think the conversations were well spaced out. You guys felt funny, informative and natural, which is when you guys are at your best. I think you should be proud of the job you did, and confident moving forward.

I think the panelists should have to come to a consensus. I'm not sure how the bets will work, but that would generate more conversation.

Great podcast! I am wondering if there's a way to spark a little more discussion with the opening bit. Like if the patrons submit two characters, their odds of winning, and a sentence why. Like Cortana v Glados, 3:1, Glados is a psycho. Then the panel can argue the reasoning and make a bet based on the odds. I thoroughly enjoyed the podcast. I think you did a great job moderating, Jones, and I'm happy Bloodworth is a regular now. Always enjoy his takes

Look, any discussion of genre is a pedantic mess, but I'm going to jab at it anyway. To me the defining element of an RPG is that your character's strength and progression are quantified numerically, in that your abilities have number stats that both grow with progress and, crucially, you have some sort of access to (even COD involves numerical values of damage on the backend, but its hidden away and the player isn't given access to that info). This is why Fallout 3 is primarily an RPG, even if it involves shooting from the first person, as is Dark Souls, despite being a heavily action-oriented experience. Both assign a numerical value to your player's growth beyond just getting better at the game as a player.
It's also why, to me, Legend of Zelda games aren't RPGs, your ability is more dependant on items you gain and your own personal ability to progress, not Link's "level" or "damage stat". Interested to see how other people define it, though.

I feel like jones take on the podcast has more interactivity for lack of a better word between the panel. Kyle calling on people or having their moment was good too. It’s just a difference that came across to me. I might just incorrectly remember something I don’t know.
