My prediction for the Top 3 to duke it out for GOTY are Final Fantasy VII: Remake, The Last of Us: Part II, and Cyberpunk 2077. The way I see it, across the board these are most likely going to be the top contenders. We haven't played Cyberpunk yet, but even after the incredible spectacle that was TLoU2, I can confidently say that, for me personally, it was nowhere near FF7R. I can't remember the last game that made me feel the way this game made me feel. I was smiling ear to ear during parts, I laughed out loud, I cried, it was a rollercoaster. I always assumed it was going to be great, so I went in with my expectations set sky high and it somehow surpassed even that. It easily landed itself a position as one of my favourite games ever. I've played through it 3 times, gotten platinum trophy, and I'm still looking forward to replaying it again when Part 2 comes out.
