The Mass Effect tidbit, I agree wholeheartedly with Ian on none of the Mass Effect fans were expecting another one considering how Andromeda turned out. For me, as a huge Mass Effect fan (I hold this series in the same class as the Metal Gear Solid series; greatest series ever) I thought the series was done. So for Jones to question what the hypes all about. We can all agree that the trailer was garbage or whatever. I can say the same thing about Perfect Dark's trailer. I haven't played since N64. Whatever on that. I can't answer for everyone obviously, but for me, the hype didn't come from the trailer, but it came from the possibility that we might be returning to the Normandy with that cast of characters. I think the way Huber would gush about the characters in Last of Us would be the way I'd describe my feelings for the crew on the Normandy. I remember not finishing Mass Effect 2 for about 3 months because I didn't want it to come to an end. That crew (with Garrus being my favorite) is the best. I heard Ian gasp a little bit during the trailer. I don't want to put words in his mouth, but I had a similar reaction. Seeing Liara pick up debris that had N7 with a smile on her face had me very giddy for about 5 secs (I'm a man from Detroit. I don't get giddy dammit) so I know that feeling Ian was experiencing.

2020-12-19 05:40:40 +0000 UTCI have a ton of friends that aren’t gamers like us, but they do play some games when they come out and a lot of hype in commercials tempt them. I had to post on my social media to “not buy this game” because it’s so broken. But this has become such a big deal, most of them had already learned not to. I guess it’s all over the radio on news segments and whatnot. CDPR messed up BIG time with this whole situation. Like historically f@!ked up. You know what it also reminded me of? Star Citizen.... lol
