Also want to echo the sentiment of some other comments here; Ian is a treasured member of EZA, and an incredibly entertaining individual. I don't choose favourites among the allies (you all bring something special which makes the group what it is), but Ian is definitely one of the best conversationalists of the group in my opinion - never a dull moment.

@Ian I don’t know your financial situation and it’s not my place to comment on that... But I find myself in a similar position as you. Recently I took on an editing job because it pays well, and at first I was excited to be “needed for my skills” and also paid, but as soon as the contract was signed I realized that I wasn’t happy. I’m not happy because I’m helping someone else make their project into a reality instead of making my ideas into reality. I guess I’m just going to have to accept being a “poor man” if that’s what it takes to be a happy man. Happiness here being working on my ideas instead of the ideas of other people. It’s not like it’s either or, and only one set of ideas can exist. It’s simply just a matter of me being afraid to commit to my ideas, at the cost of... well, that almighty dollar. I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of sacrificing my time for other people’s ideas, especially when those people seem to be motivated by monetary gain. Ironic, because here I am, also motivated my monetary gain, and sacrificing my soul in the process. Again, I do not assume to know exactly what your situation is. But since you spoke about wanting to work on your projects, and also mentioned that you’ve been working on non-EZA stuff, I just assumed that it was a similar situation to mine. Take care, and invite Kyle more often.

Ian, a big difference between you and Nakey Jakey is the audience you're saying the criticism for. A lot of EZA patrons are a subsect of gaming fans that can be pandered too very easily, but also lash out at basic dissenting opinions. There will always be tons of people not crazy enough to leave comments that appreciate you speaking your mind.

I know it can be hard, and I certainly don't work/live on the internet as much as you guys do but, try not to let the trolls and assholes get you down. They may be more vocal at times, but I promise, the vast majority of people respect and understand people can have differing opinions.
