Not a CORRECTION, but maybe more of a silver lining in terms of PS5 scalpers and the difficulty of getting them in the Netherlands. One of the biggest outlets, Coolblue, didn't have pre-orders for the PS5. They were waiting for confirmation from Sony so that they knew exactly on launch day how many they would have. They told people that they would be sold one day before on 12pm. But the interest for it was so crazy high and the messages about scalpers and bots trying to get them was so insane that they thought of a completely different way of dealing with it. In the spirit of the holidays, they asked people to take a picture of their shoe (like socks for Christmas). These pictures of shoes were accompanied by people's names and phone numbers. Based on these pictures they were doing a lottery who would get the first batch of PS5's. No website went down, no refreshing the site all afternoon long. Everyone had the same chance of getting one and that felt great and fair to me!

I love you guys, but I felt the takes on melee were actually pretty bad, and I feel they are destined to cause controversy. I really wish you guys would of talked to someone in the melee community, someone in the digital rights community, and maybe got Hoeg Law's take on the legality of Slippi, emulation, and backing games up. Honestly the way you guys just bluntly say "never gonna happen" is a very political stance that is going to be taken personally by folks who dedicate their lives to protecting and advancing digital rights and freedoms. I would refer you to Cory Doctorow's Twitter (@doctorow) twitter thread on Nov 21st for a more sympathetic, nuanced, and informed take on this issue.

I've had no issues with my ps5 so far. I didn't copy anything over from my ps4 and just redownloaded what few games could fit along with ps+ cloud saves. I'm too scared to use quick resume or rest mode so am always closing games and shutting console down. The load times are so fast it hasn't bothered me at all.

Yeah I am thinking of trying it out for a month as an experiment to see if my shopping costs go down and to force a bit more variety to my cooking. Can't see me lasting longer than that at this stage.

I think a lot of the ps5 issues might be from old accounts, I did not own a ps4, and made a fresh account on ps5, have not run into any issues. Also playing old games like bloodborn and now ghost, so no crashes. I think most new users will have so many PS+ games to play they might not notice for a while. Enjoying these games so much, feel so spoiled having the entire ps4 library to choose from.

I did mealkit for a shrot time, will say this, it's not very healthy. But I did learn it mostly comes down to learn how to make rice, buy legit spices, and then just buy the meat of your choice and fry it with those spices. There you go 50% of what a meal kit is. other 50% is noodle dishes, where you boil noodles, fry some beef/pork, then add sauce and mix them together.
