Subscribed after this great podcast covering DC's! Had to mention (though it's not exactly a director's cut) the Memento Special Edition DVD that includes a cut of the movie that plays entirely forwards in time. It's next level, 10/10, ridiculous how different the movie plays when played in real time. I hope you both see it and can't wait to hear the next episode!

2021-04-10 07:18:15 +0000 UTCIt's pretty crazy going through these and seeing little details that couldn't easily be distinguished on the old CRT. For example, in episode 5 during the battle of Hoth, Rogue Two has a nose bleed (presumably from the G's he's taking), when Luke asks him if he's okay. Not huge details but, these little touches really highlight how much detail and love went into making the world of Star Wars "real".

Harmy's Despecialized Edition, a fan project from several years back, restores and increases the resolution of the original trilogy. It's not perfect, only at 720p and the original images were obviously not meant to be viewed at this resolution. It's the best way that I've found to view the originals besides pulling out the VHSs. (Internet Archive has the download links)
