This means I'll be missing out on the Q&A tomorrow, but this is going to be an awesome week for bonus stuff. Spoiler Modes for Mortal Kombat and Falcon and the Winter Soldier, the hilarious Monster Hunter audio commentary, pet videos, in-car food reviews, and the final episode of Mindful Games (stream is now at 8 AM PT, FYI!). And this is on top of regularly scheduled bonuses like Achieve it Yourself and Blood Pact.
Also, now that Mindful Games is finished I can turn my attention toward my pile of puppets and finish putting our spectacular upcoming stream together.
I'll handle two weeks worth of questions next week!

Hello Brandon. This week Metro Exodus PC Enhanced Edition will be released, and it will require Ray Tracing capable GPU to run. This is the first, but certainly not the last big game that will pose such requirement and I’m sure that fast SSD-only games are also on the horizon. Are there any allies (besides Huber) who are interested in covering PC games, but haven’t already upgraded their rig to current-gen specs? If so, do you consider news like this as a call to action to perform company-wide PC upgrades? P.S. I know that building PC in far in advance isn’t the best strategy, but considering current hardware availability, it makes sense to start thinking about it earlier than usual. I’m slightly worrying that you’ll might not be able to cover some game only because you can’t play it and I would like to avoid that.

Representation is important, especially in the gaming space, given its future growth, consumption by younger-skewing audiences, and global reach. EZA is even more affected by the representation question because of its transition from a more traditional form of corporate media that largely did not concern itself with representation in hiring, to its current form that is more "influencer," more personality-driven, and which lives on social media platforms. In other words, "gaming" is now both more diverse than other media on average, and more diverse than the old gaming industry during the GT days. Some EZA members have alluded to this before and you have also addressed questions about hiring new people. It also seems that some of your podcasts, streams, and other shows have made a concerted effort to include diverse guests. So I'm confident that many--if not all--of you have thought hard about this question. Kudos for the changes and improvements you have already made. Yet I still come back to the question of representative diversity in the partnership, rather than just the on-air personalities such as guests or employees. Opening up the partnership is obviously a very complicated and uncomfortable endeavor, for which EZA may not be ready nor have the appetite. But that effort will be worth it because it is arguably the strongest form of actionable change that EZA can contribute. Thanks for considering this difficult topic.

2021-04-28 23:39:47 +0000 UTCI know that doing the twitch highlights ended up being too much work, so i wonder if you guys could just make like a compilation of things you guys had to do for bets but wasn't put up on youtube. I still go back from time to time to watch you sing that song from cats for instance, and its a shame that such a amazing moment is buried in a vod that i keep forgetting which one it is instead of in a regular series or a playlist on the channel. Doesn't need to be anything crazy, just a few videos to put a spotlight on the older bets that didn't have their own video on in the channel and once we get caught up to the current year just a yearly video of those "payed" bets. Call it "EZA Moments" or something. Or on second thought it could be a bit more, for example i haven't forgotten a single time, but the whole final part of that stream where EZA got a fighting game as a present could be brought front and center in a series. This stuff could even be done with community help, they could help get those particular special moments buried in random vods back up there. Anyways just a thought. Love and Respect.

I used to just easily find it on youtube, however with the no ads and bonus L and R, I got to use the patreon post.
