Added 2021-05-31 16:57:35 +0000 UTCToday is a holiday, so I’m going to stream a shorter episode with fewer Business Questions, but there are two topics concerning EZA that need to be discussed immediately. First, we’re returning to our studio on June 10th, just in time for E3. Second, ISLA HINCK HAS COME OUT AS TRANSGENDER AND WE LOVE HER. I want to shine as much light on her as possible during this process, but I want to weigh in on what this might mean for the team and how we hope to handle it. Thank you for the support you’ve shown her so far.

I found the link pretty easily by searching through Patreon, but a post on Patreon or a page on the website that people can refer to would be appreciated since we can skim the list instead of having to search through Patreon. Did you know there's also a global pandemic? Have you considered using your medical degree and board license for more front-line work? 2021-06-01 14:44:53 +0000 UTCI would imagine this has to do with the difference of saying you live in/near a big city but you're actually in a smaller community outside the city and most likely for anonymity reasons are saying "in L.A." rather than the small town they actually live in. The L.A. area is huge but a lot of the public transport in the U.S. doesn't serve outlying communities as well as it could. I have this problem living near Chicago which has great public transportation if you live within the city limits but is pretty spotty once you get 30 to 40 min away (drive time).

2021-06-01 14:39:57 +0000 UTCGood Morning Jones, I know this subject has come up before but in light of recent changes with the personnel of Easy Allies, do you think NOW would be an ideal time (within the next few weeks, sooner rather than later) to come up with that EZA FAQ list? I know you have said you don't mind answering questions multiple times, but how better to handle those questions that come up about Isla then in a text referring them to the Spectacular post? I am sure it might seem like a lot of work in a busy time what with the return to the studio and E3 happening next week, but this is most likely the time when people who only watch EZA content during June/E3 will wonder who she is and "whats the deal?" I am sure if you involved the community or mods or some kind of help outside the 8, they/we could compile the list and answers from past discussions and send it to you as a rough draft. That would take a lot of the work off of your shoulders but still leave the final review and posting up to the Allies. Please consider it. As always, L&R JessieBlu

2021-06-01 11:15:46 +0000 UTCHello Brandon. Maybe this isn’t an appropriate question for Cup of Jones and if so, feel free to ignore it, but there’s one thing I’m not quite understanding. You’ve recently mentioned that driving to the studio from your new home will take a lot of your time because of LA’s traffic. But if wasting time in traffic is an issue, why don’t just use public transport? I did some googling and it seems like public transport in Los Angeles is good: there are modern buses, light rail & subway systems, which uses dedicated lanes to bypass traffic jams. Did I get the wrong impression, or is there another reason you’re not using an option that is faster during busy hours. Update: No need to answer this one (unless you want to). Multiple patrons already informed me that I’ve got the wrong impression and that public transport in US isn’t a viable option. Sorry to hear that.

Personally I'm looking forward to seeing the allies together and in the studio, for what its worth I would encourage you and the other allies to produce content from/stream and be in the studio as much as possible. I understand that you must strike the correct work/life balance for all but I believe this is where your best content is made as well as something that gives you a competitive edge over other content creators. There's nothing quite like the chemistry of the allies together in the same room regardless of the setup and subject. This may be more of a question for Isla but is there any plan for fiasconaughts to return?

2021-05-31 17:48:56 +0000 UTCHey Mr. Jones! I, like so many others, wanted to share my happiness and hype pertaining to EZA with how monumental this current stretch of time is. I’m overjoyed on both the return to the studio (more anticipated than most games this year), and the reintroduction of Isla, and with E3 coming up, I’m just radiating positive vibes. I have so many questions about the studio, but I want to be fair and just focus on one: When was the tipping point to fully commit to the return and decision was finalized? Am I correct to assume it was as soon as it was determined when the last Ally’s full vaccination would go into effect? I’m fascinated to learn, if you’re willing to share, how long the plan has been in motion. And I don’t mean on a basic, general sense, as that’s been the case since March 2020. Rather, I’m wanting to know when it first became a real, achievable thing, and the conversation seriously started, whether it’s been discussed for the last few weeks, or months. Thanks again for reading, a MASSIVE congratulations to everyone at EZA for all of their accomplishments these weeks have provided, and have a wonderful rest of your day! Cheers! 2021-05-31 17:41:31 +0000 UTCGreeting Jones, Ok, sorry, time for everyone's favorite ill-tempered, overprotective Trans woman to give you an idea in regards to the wonderful Isla Hinck. I stole it from Patrick Rothfuss (author of the Kingkiller Chronicles, as well as a well known streamer), he has a 'Misgender' Jar. It's like a swear jar, but is for any time he may misgender or misname a trans person, and eventually, he gives the money from the full jar to a Transgender support nonprofit. I feel that is a good idea for all of you considering that mistakes do happen, and can do something good in the process. That's all, thank you for being respectful and overjoyed for Isla, as we all are, also L&R.
