Great selections. I actually remember thinking, in both games, wow this music great. Bioshock a bit more because of the use of known music and GoW because of the original music, but still, both games were made better by their soundtrack choices imo

2021-11-01 01:08:55 +0000 UTCAnother solid selection (and I'm not saying that because my submission was selected). In particular, I wanted to comment about Bioshock Infinite's "By and By." That song has made me emotional every time I've heard it, and it was so powerful to me during my first playthrough. The soft hum of the choir near the beginning as Booker is being baptized is so beautiful, but the acoustic version you can discover and watch in the backroom basement of the bar in the Shantytown moved me like few things have. Plus hearing it again as the credits rolled, trying to grapple with the ending and the roller coaster of story revelations that make up the final couple of hours left an impression that I still feel today. Bioshock Infinite's score is probably my favorite thing about the game.
