Just adding on to the hottake I think it's important to remember that there are a lot of people in this day and age who don't own computers at all, because so much of the general internet stuff can be done on your phone. So no laptop, no PC, no nothing. When they want to check youtube they do it on their phone.
I'm supervisor of a team that's mostly 20-year olds or thereabouts at my workplace, and we recently needed to swap to a work from home setup, and only one out of five had a home PC set up they could swap to, the rest needed to borrow tablets from the office and work off them. As someone who practically lives at his computer desk it was mind-boggling to me.
So if you're in the space and have your finger on the pulse I think there's definitely an argument to be made that consoles are less valuable than they used to be, but I don't think that's going to functionally change much for the industry at large.

Blood you have to get to the boss of biome 4. Just trust me. It’s a genuinely awe inspiring moment and I think you of all the Allies will especially appreciate what it’s doing.
I don’t want to spoil too much but pay attention to the sounds in the biome as you work your way through it. That boss is the moment Returnal cemented itself as my absolute game of the year and one of my favorite games in the past decade. It’s genuinely masterful

yeah bloods in act 2 but i really hope they at least both beat hyperion if not the full game.(though brad at the very least has beaten the game). similar to last week how they were talking about inscryption being only a couple hours in though ben mentions at the sharts hes now at "that" part.
but on that point i think hades is a better "rougelite" but returnal was a better game personally.

That conversation about Returnal was rough. Hearing the Allies repeat over and over how Hades did it better when they haven't even beaten the first act of Returnal is like comparing Star Wars to Lord of the Rings but you've only seen the Fellowship of the Ring. I hope Blood and Ben discover the nuance and brilliance of Returnal before GotY's because that game is a contender.
