I don't have hope for much of what was discussed in this episode, and yes I do feel burned that I can't just pay an upgrade fee to convert Mario Kart 8 to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, especially now that my Expansion Pass subscription would also be getting me new tracks for it, if I didn't own only the Wii U version instead or if the game had ever been on sale for a reasonable price since launch. Backwards compatibility needs to happen though, just to stabilize the framerate of a selection of games from the past couple years if nothing else.
