What I've put together: Albert Cloudsley is a part of the Proudbeast cult and murdered Oberon Geller for the Golden Idol. He passes it to a relative, Sebastian, who is also part of the cult, but Sebastian dies in an accident. Willard Wright receives it from Sebastian's will, and writes a letter to the cult about it. Ash Blair murders him and steals the idol, framing the convict Redruth for the crime.
