2023-01-19 00:59:03 +0000 UTCHey Allies, The fact that Rocksteady's Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is going to include Game as a Service features has been brought to the forefront due to leaks this week. It's given me pause for thought on whether the game is right for me, and has generated a lot of discussion on various podcasts and other media about Expectations around the game. What stuck out to me particularly is journalists basically saying: "As long as there is a great singleplayer experience there, it can still be great." I don't think it's wrong to do so, but I can't help but hear these conversations and think, "that's personal taste mixing into analysis". When I look back on Easy Allies' previous Game of the Year nominees, it's clear that even Easy Allies favours start-to-finish single player experiences, with a few exceptions here and there. So my question is this. In a world where Suicide Squad releases, and the Games as a Service aspects are the best part of the game, where the game is not the best single-player experience of the year, is their a reality where it wins Easy Allies Game of the Year, and what would it have to do to get there?
