Hi Allies, I want the next mainline FF game to have an anime-like artstyle and a much much lighter tone. Give me a big sprawling colorful world and let me go on a grand adventure with a party of interesting characters from different races and backgrounds. No end of the world. No big war. Just a party of fun and interesting characters trying to each find their own place in the world. This is extremely unlikely to ever happen ofc, but I would love it if we could get just one big budget mainline FF that was like that. What about you guys? Do you have any wishes for FF or another franchise that are very unlikely to happen but you'd love to see them come true at some point? Thanks for picking my submission if you do. Cheers.

It’s like they know they can get away with it with GTA VI rumored to be coming next year. Do you think Rockstar will ever give their older titles the proper remaster/remake treatment or are they solely focused on new titles?

I couldn’t play Larian’s previous Divinity Original Sin 2 game, or any other crpg more than a few hours, but Baldurs Gate 3 hooked me so much I would put it to my top 10 list. My question is: Do you have a specific game genre that you generally dislike? And which game (if any) do you still love despite not liking the genre? Love & respect, László

2023-08-09 07:14:48 +0000 UTCHey there Allies, What are some moments you remember when you were playing a game, and it just sank in that you were playing something extremely special? I remember when I played Final Fantasy VI for the first time. The moment came after an extended dungeon in a haunted Spirit Forest, and incredible climactic boss fight against a Ghost Train. In this moment, the character I had just met realizes this train is now boarding the spirits of his recently murdered family. He has to watch it pull away to the afterlife without him, while hearing their goodbyes. It’s a moment that could be overdone, with party members chiming in with on the nose expository, or overly emotional dialogue. But in that moment, it is quiet. No one says anything at all. You feel the loss quietly together and you press on in your adventure with the stakes now raised. It’s incredibly moving, and it was in that moment, I was taken aback as I realized this game was something special. What are those moments that stood out to you? The ones that made you realize the game you were playing was a personal 10/10, just a really special gem of a game. Love and Respect, Brian from Happy Gaming

From Revan to Shepard when I have the option, I'm selecting the most ruthless dirty dog response possible. Please note potential spoilers for the following games: Mass Effect 2, KOTOR, Batman a Telltale story My Mass Effect 2 run was infamous in my group of friends as after we were talking about our different endings we achieved as I had come to realize that I had never actually met the lovable Geth operative known as Legion. I had sold him for a paltry 50k credits and never looked back. I also shot SPOILERS Mordin SPOILERS in the back on Tuchanka, killed Wrex in cold blood in Mass Effect 3, killed Carth Onassi when he turned on my party in KOTOR, elected to have Alfred lose an eye before giving up my identity as Batman, and made so many other down and dirty decisions when given the chance. While I have since replayed and run through most of these games for a "karmic" reset. I'll never forget that initial heinous run. Maybe this is me getting some things off my chest but I wanted to know what horrible, no good, nasty gaming decisions the allies have made and/or even come to regret. As always. This might not seem like much but its been a long time coming as I was stuck on what I thought was the last boss since I was 15. It's taken me over a decade to finally come back and beat the game and I'm so happy to finally play through the rest of the series. Because of this, I wanted to ask the panel, are there any games from your childhoods that you never beat and want to one day go back to or games you couldn't beat but eventually did after going back to them as an adult? So there used to be a segment a long time called “One of these things doesn’t belong.” We’re gonna do something like that. I’m gonna list a bunch of sets of three games or series, your job is to find the odd one out. Bonus points if you know WHY they’re the odd one out, and remember, this is me you’re dealing with, the right answer might not be so obvious. Is this game gonna be good? Is it gonna suck? I dunno. I’m just writing this on the fly at 7 in the morning because I’m bored and need to keep myself entertained. I hope you like it though… Love and Respect, R.F. 1. Splatoon/Animal Crossing/Kirby (Answer: Kirby. Splatoon and Animal Crossing are made by the same development team.) 2. Double Dragon/Final Fight/Battletoads (Answer: Final Fight. Battletoads and Double Dragon were in a crossover together, Final Fight was not part of it.) 3. Resident Evil/Silent Hill/Parasite Eve (Answer: Parasite Eve. Not only is Parasite Eve an RPG with Survival Horror elements, but it was also based on a novel.) 4. Lemmings/Mario vs Donkey Kong/Pikmin (Answer: Lemmings. While all three games deal with managing multiple creatures at once, Lemmings is the only one that doesn’t have a specific character commanding or controlling them) 5. Chrono Trigger/Final Fantasy VI/Secret of Mana (Answer: Secret of Mana. It’s the only one of the three that isn’t in the Hall of Greats. You should fix that.) 6. Spider-Man/Shadow Man/Turok (Answer: Spider-Man. All three of these games are based on a comic book series, but only Spider-Man was created by a major publisher like Marvel.) 7. Doom/Hexen/Quake (Answer: Hexen. All three of them are FPS games made by id, but Hexen is specifically set in a dark fantasy world, whereas the others are sci-fi horror.) 8. Baldur’s Gate/Diablo/Path of Exile (Answer: Baldur’s Gate. While all three are isometric RPGs, in Diablo and Path of Exile you play as a singular character. Baldur’s Gate lets you recruit a party.) 9. Final Fantasy VII/Resident Evil 4/Super Mario RPG (Answer: SMRPG. All three of these games have very big remakes that have changed a lot of the mechanics and improved the overall designs….. But Super Mario RPG isn’t out until November 17th.) 10. Castlevania/Metroid/Zelda (Answer: Metroid. I bet I got Damiani and Brad with this one, but Zelda and Castlevania had side scrolling action-RPG games in the 80’s. Neither one of them would be considered “Metroidvainias.” No, seriously, Simon’s Quest isn’t a Metroidvania.)
