Rewards Access Troubleshooting

Apologies, but with our recent reward tier changes, we've seen a lot of people having issues accessing rewards, including the early podcast and Discord even though they've selected new rewards tiers and their accounts are in good standing.
What's been working for people is to pop down to a lower tier then go back up to the tier you intend. That seems to restore access for most people right away. You can then separately edit your pledge amount if you want to give more than the price of your tier.
For Discord, if that doesn't work, you can try unlinking and re-linking your Patreon and Discord accounts.

Hey, I've tried popping to a lower tier and then back but I still can't see the podcast early access link.

2023-03-19 16:50:15 +0000 UTCYeah, it really seems like an access bug on the Patreon side, going down doesn't work, it only reinstates access when you go up. So that's why you have to do this dumb little shuffle. -Bloodworth

Relinked it multiple times, left the server and rejoined, changed my tiers, even tried canceling the patron and redoing it. Edit: Finally got it working after basically disconnecting everything, clearing cache, reconnecting, then resubbing at $5 (it still wasn't working), then bumped it up to $10 and it finally worked... Painful

2023-03-12 02:43:42 +0000 UTCIt's not that you were removed as a patron, the $7 rewards tier just doesn't exist anymore so you had to select a new tier to gain access to rewards. That's why the announcement post starts with that note. To let everyone know they need to select a new tier if they were in one of the tiers that had been removed. Unfortunately, because Patreon no longer has an option to just give benefits to everyone giving above a certain dollar amount, it creates weird situations like this that are hard to communicate, which is why we try not to add or remove tiers too often. -Bloodworth
