New Species - hit me with your ideas!

Honestly, I'm not sure about races, but what about something that is warlike and very aggressive. Could be a species that lives underground, is ant-like (or hornet-like), hive-minded, protection and expansion of the hive is above all. They may be one of the hardest species to come into contact with due to their hive-minded nature, but perhaps some of the species may have autonomous drones, that have some free thought. Or it could be independent queens looking to expanded the hive by creating its own and the player can choose to help? Or the player could come in contact with the queen of the entire hive and romance it, serve the queen and rid the galaxy of all other species XD (joking). This is just something that came into my mind, because I was playing a hive minded Stellaris game not to long ago. It's totally up to you on what you want to make as a new species. I'm sure whatever you design is sure to be a banger :).

A lot of good ideas were already thrown on the table. -Bird People to antagonize the feline races -Synthetic/ Cyborg hybrid was a great idea that someone had as well. Really plays into the lore. -A mimic/ doppelganger type could play into the lore. Survive by taking on the roles of other races to bounce from species to species attempting to hide or mask themselves as inanimate objects -I dont think anyone has suggested some form of demi human bug type entry aside from the spider people -An amphibian race would be cool. An axolotl or frog type could be fun -There's always the default tentacle/alien type creature as well.

Ferret people that are tech gremlin mad scientists, basically if you have need of something crazy, they probably have it laying around and don't understand it's value. They work for anyone who gives them a home.

Possibly derived from Utah Raptors, or Velicoraptors (whichever one had the feathers :P) That or perhaps a more humanoid, and fictional design with wings on their back, and either a bird tail, or something more like a lizard for a sort of Avian dragon.

Their tissue are soft but hard like human and they can reproduce like other living species and thanks for their special nanobots, who work like blood for them they can fix, change and even regenerate. But they are weak to EMP and any form of disturbance in their system. They can be interesting future species of living machinery

2024-09-26 15:10:19 +0000 UTCIt’s a long shot but straight up autonomous robots could be cool. Nothing nefarious behind their origins. Just some asteroid mining bois whose creators simply died out long ago and now they just do their own thing. That or Lithoids (rock people) living in space
