One of the reasons Morrigan is so mad, is that she was stood up at the alter a long time ago. Remember Sekarri don't usually do pomp like this due to 7to 1 pairing ratio. Monogamous marriages are often in secret, as to avoid scorn and persecution.
Morrigan was promised a future with a guy, who gave into his 'duties' and left her to continue building his pride.
This was one of the major turning points in her loss of faith in the Sekarri way of life.
