The deep hum of her oxygen regulator had become her only comfort in the crushing silence of the ocean depths, but now even that reassurance was fading—literally. Her LAMA diving gear was state-of-the-art, but it couldn’t manufacture air, every breath she took takes more effort than the last. The regulator can barely keep feeding fresh air into the diving helmet, she can even taste the air turning stale and heavy as the minutes passed. She was running out of time. Her vision swam as she fought to regain focus. There are 3 more enemies left with automatic weapons, while she has 5 maybe 6 bullets left on her person. She sent out a distress call for the other members of Sparrow team for backup earlier, but who knows how long they would arrive. Minutes? She definitely won't be alive within the hour, as she probably would be peppered by bullets or left to suffocate alone in the dark. Should she contemplate...surrender? It's better than getting shot or asphyxiating underwater. Whatever choice she have to make, she have to make it fast, as the regulator in her helmet is almost at its last legs, sputtering what wisps of air left in her tank.
