Captain (Later Major) Morrigan in the comic was a favorite character, not just in the story but as a foil for others' fan art. She was a pretty evil bitch, but had a sort of code that she followed at the same time. In role-playing games she would be considered Lawful Evil, I think, and she was really, really uptight and serious, so she was perfect for fan comics.

A piece by Jimmy Chin, who really enjoyed working on Empires and liked Morrigan a lot. He had his own comic in the pages of Yarf! that were kind of a slice-of-life dramedy set in a university campus and they were good reading.

Another Jimmy Chin piece.

These were the characters from Jimmy Chin's comic set at the university, with Captain Morrigan dropped in for a cameo. I busted up laughing at this one.

A Yarf! back cover by Lance Rund, who insisted that anything could be made sexy, even Captain Morrigan.

I remember almost peeing myself laughing at this one. Jimmy Chin drew another favorite Yarf! villain, Jack Salem, in a tumultuous relationship with Morrigan. Whereas Morrigan was Lawful Evil, Jack Salem could be described as a sort of Neutral Evil with Chaotic tendencies. He was a psychotic killer, but as far as evil went these two pretty much ruled the roost in the pages of Yarf! for awhile.
Enough for now! More later!
