Great write up! I'm a big W40K fan myself, so excited for this one. Personally I really like the Invictor Warsuit for space marines, and some of the Tau. I actually subscribe to PiperMakes Patreon as well, and she has some amazing FishMech as proxies to the Tau, wonderful designs to reference.

2023-12-07 02:15:53 +0000 UTCWH40k Mech stuff, Tau Empire is inspired by anime style robbits. There are a few Tau mechs scaled around the size of the Titanfall mechs, the Ghostkeel, which actually has a visible pilot and openable cockpit https://www.warhammer.com/en-AU/shop/XV95-Ghostkeel-Battlesuit Commander Enforcer/Coldstar variants, https://www.warhammer.com/en-AU/shop/Tau-Empire-Commander-2017 and most recently their 'elite pilot' hero Commander Farsight's mech. https://www.warhammer.com/en-AU/shop/tau-empire-commander-farsight-2023 Space Marines have the new Invictor Dreadnaught https://www.warhammer.com/en-AU/shop/Space-Marine-Primaris-Invictor-Tactical-Warsuit-2020 with a pilot inside a weird rollcage, and the Grey Knight's Dreadknight https://www.warhammer.com/en-AU/shop/Nemesis-Dreadknight-New which looks a bit like a large robot holding a space marine in one of those chest-front baby carriers. Orks have mech suits that are essentially 'made out of scrap in a cave'. https://www.warhammer.com/en-AU/shop/Ork-Killa-Kans Imperial Guard have Sentinel walkers, and I've seen some cool mods from I wanna say... kromlech that give these guys arms, which gives them a very titanfall look. https://www.warhammer.com/en-AU/shop/astra-militarum-armoured-sentinel-2023 https://bitsofwar.com/squads-bundles-imperium/2083-28755-caracalla-walker-weapons-bundle.html#/137-caracalla_walker_s_weapon_1-plasma_cannon/143-caracalla_walker_s_weapon_2-laser_cannon/149-caracalla_walker_s_weapon_3-autocannon Most Eldar robbits are powered and controlled by the souls of dead eldar, but they do have one piloted walker https://www.warhammer.com/en-AU/shop/Eldar-War-Walker-2017 Adeptus Mechanicus has https://www.warhammer.com/en-AU/shop/Ironstrider-Ballistarius-2017 these walker things. The mechs from the Imperial Knights faction are much larger than Titanfall mech scale but have individual pilots, whereas Warhammer 40k 'Titans' have multi person crews depending on the class.

2023-12-04 01:01:56 +0000 UTCJust a word of caution - Warhammer is ruthless when it comes to protecting their intellectual property. They sue often. So how is it that we see all these 3D modelers making 40k models, even monthly, without getting sued out of existence? They are very careful with the names they pick. Please be careful with how you say it. Don't say, "I'm making a Warhammer model" or "I'm making a Black Templars Land Raider". Say "I'm making a Ultra Obsidian Mammoth Tank from the grim dark wars of the future". At least read up on the stories of their past lawsuits so that you don't get sued!

2023-12-04 00:44:42 +0000 UTCon the votoms fatty, it would be great is it had options, a lot of people use the prints for gaming. if I could set it up in more then one configuration, " different guns, missiles, different pilot, that would be so much better.
