Instead of doodles, I have something else this Monday. Ages ago (egad... the 1990's!) I found the White Wolf Role-Playing Game "Werewolf: the Apocalypse" and "Vampire: the Masquerade". I took to these games pretty quickly. I don't remember their system too well but I remember it felt cleaner and more streamlined than Dungeons and Dragons, which was what me and my friends played the most Back In The Day.
Here are a few characters I created. Some were full characters; many were sort of quasi-NPCs that I (as the Gamemaster at the time) used to interact with the player-characters and get them on missions and try to keep them focused on goals without too many sidetracks.
Top: Alex Tuan, one of my Werewolf characters. I had set up a Werewolf group in the area around the Pacific North West, centered around Seattle but also parts of the Olympic Peninsula and into Vancouver, British Columbia. Alex Tuan was a Werewolf (called "Garou" in the game, IIRC) and he was one of the tribes of Werewolves that had managed to live and thrive in human society, called "Glass Walkers". Typically, Werewolves disdained human society and preferred rural living, but these guys were different.
Alex Tuan's extended family came from Hong Kong, where they had a shipping company (not very big but still successful) and as the British lease was set to run out, they were moving their family and fortunes to the PNW and re-branding. Alex took an "American" name over his Chinese one and set up a coffee shop (Seattle, eh?) which was also a meeting place for like-minded Garou.
I drew his human form and inked it, and left his werewolf form in pencil.

Anja Bartel, another Garou of the "Glass Walker" tribe, who was a cop in her day job and a defender of nature as a Garou. In the game, Garou (Werewolves) were defenders of the natural world, trying to keep nature pure and clean against both human encroachment and development as well as corruption and spoiling from the unnatural, such as the Vampires as portrayed in "The Masquerade". So Garou were basically eco-warriors.
I had a few local Glass Walker tribals join various law enforcement agencies to protect a local "hot spot" of mystical natural energy.

Another local Glass Walker, this one in the Coast Guard. I didn't end up doing much with him since it was difficult to integrate him into a lot of the adventures, but if we had continued with the game I was going to make an effort to include more stuff involving boats and stuff, since the idea of having game characters doing maritime adventures fascinated me.

Sharpfang was a railroad hobo, and from a tribe that more closely adhered to the idea of staying in the natural world more. These "traditional" Garou generally disdained the "Glass Walker" tribe as sellouts to human luxury and convenience. Still, they were better than Vampires, so alliances of convenience were frequent. Sharpfang hovered on the outskirts of Seattle in the wilderness and parks, homeless and drifting as far as ordinary folks could tell, but keenly aware of the natural world. He liked to be in his pure Wolf form a lot, so I drew that as well.

Sophia was an Australian and touring the world as an adventure backpacker type. She was on a cruise ship at one point and had to "wolf out" (my term as a Gamemaster) to protect some people from a Vampire. When Garou reveal themselves, it creates an aura of fear that radiates out and causes ordinary humans to become unnerved and panicked, and they flee the area. I used her to introduce the Pacific Northwest adventure and get it started, but really after the introduction she didn't have much of a role to play and left.
That's it for now; I will share more next week! Ciao!
