Not all of my comics have some sort of deeper philosophical meaning or intention... sometimes I just do silly stuff for the sake of doing silly stuff. This was one of those times where I decided to take a sign literally.
Medic training would of course involve carrying someone out on a stretcher, which is also called a "litter". I don't know why; it just is. Blame the English language, which has cribbed from Latin, Greek, German, French, Saxon, Norse, and who-knows what over the centuries.
The guys in the back will chill and surf the net as the medic and the MP argue. Hey, we haven't seen Wendy Two-Feathers in awhile, so I decided to throw her in here.
