BOHICA News! 41st Edition! All the latest!

Welcome new member Wayne as a Sergeant! Above are all the paid tier members, while below is a growing number of unpaid tier members! I'm glad to have you all along for the show! 

I got my final authorization for deployment, so I will be leaving my home town somewhere around October and heading to Fort Bliss, Texas, for a quick orientation and probably some shots (ohhh, boy) and then I will be off to sunny, downtown Kosovo for my much-anticipated KFOR rotation!

In the meantime, I will continue to try to keep up with as much as I can while I am deployed. The last few weeks have been insanely busy as I try to prep for deployment, and I have not been able to keep up with things as much (or as easily) as I'd hoped. There's been a lot of back-and-forth and I ended up doing a set of 29 day orders at my home station, and of course one people there discovered I was available, I spent my days putting out all sorts of fires.

But I am hoping that once I am in Kosovo, I will have just my one daily job to focus on-- not a civilian job, no household chores, just regular duty hours. Hopefully I will have plenty to talk about in comic form.

In the meantime, I have gotten the last "KGB" comic scanned in ("KGB: Kelly in the Caribbean") and I will try to get that lettered and uploaded sometime relatively soon-ish, hopefully before the end of the calendar year.

The ongoing misadventures in the Middle East, Africa, and the battlefield fumblings of Russia have me re-thinking my decision never to do another KGB comic. I may --may-- do one more, with updated art and character designs, and with Wagner mercenaries as a bad guy force.

No promises on that one.

 Otherwise, I will continue working on BOHICA Blues: KFOR of course, and doing some Empires reboot material. Depending on finances, I may commission an artist to do some pencils for Crystallized, my Medieval sword-and-sorcery story as well. If I have the money, that is almost guaranteed, since all I need to do is pay someone, and the time-consuming artwork is done by someone else. I'd like to have something ready to jump off with when I get back so I can release both Empires & Crystallized  at the same time, if possible.

Let me know if anyone out there likes the idea of having something I write done Manga style or not, because I may look for an artist to do that.

The yet-unnamed Wolf Project is on the back burner for obvious reasons, since I really need to get to Yellowstone to do some field research. That will have to wait until I am well back in the States.

Another "Art & Politics" video is in the works, too; this one focusing on the effects of the Russo-Ukraine War on the Korean Peninsula. I'll try to release it before I go, time allowing.
