So I mentioned some time ago my plan to make an anthology comic book with the collaboration of some local artists and writers. The idea was going to be "Vox Noctem", which would mean either "night voice" or "voice in the night", depending on how you're doing your Latin.
The idea was, I would announce an overall theme, and people would come up with comic stories base don their interpretation of that theme. There were supposed to be at least five different stories based on this year's theme, "Rescue".
It was a complete flop, and a pointed reminder as to why I hate group projects.
Of the dozens and dozens of people that were "excited" and "absolutely on board" with the idea, I got a total of 2 stories.
Anyhow, I am going to run one of these stories today, as a "Work In Progress". Technically, Vox Noctem is still a "Work In Progress" because if I ever get three more stories to go along with it, I will publish the book, but my hopes have dwindled. If I can finish "Rescue" and publish it, then that will be the last time I try to put together something like this.
So here is one of the two stories I did get, from Dream Cake Studios.
--Hopefully I can finish this project at some point in the future, but I have a feeling it may have to wait until after my deployment to Kosovo. But for now, here is part of this Random Coyote Studios LLC project, at least so far.
Until later!
