CIP/WIP Wednesday: Some Jedi Characters

So I have mentioned in the past that I am part of an online collaborative story that is essentially a giant Star Wars shared-universe fanfic. We started it 20 years ago and it has been going since, sometimes with periods of hiatus and sometimes "full steam ahead" when it is hard to keep up with events.

This Star Wars shared fanfic is called "Rebuilding of Empires" and it has its own internal canon. I could go into the details but it would take a long time; needless to say things are VERY different there than they are in either Legends or Canon (personally I like our universe better than either but I'm biased) and I we all have our own characters, many of which are based on canon characters or concepts, but go in their own direction.

I am in the process of making some images for the characters, and I am using real world movie and TV actors to use as models to base the characters on. Above: Josh Holloway as my elder Jedi Master, Arik Whitesun. Of them all, I think I made my character, Arik, look a bit too much like the actor, famous for many roles but I first encountered him in LOST.

Of my characters, Alec Syfardos probably looks the least Jaime Bamber, the model I used for him. I really did not want my characters to 100% totally look like the actors; I just wanted to use the actors as a sort of starting point. Alec also does not wear Jedi robes, he wears combat leathers and is more militant than some of the others, although he is starting to mellow a bit after seeing a lot of combat.

The young Jedi Nenak'hir'deshur (or "Nenak" for short) is a more traditional Jedi than the previous, Alec Syfardos. She wants to do the right thing, support peace and justice, and fight only as a last resort.

This one I did a long time ago and featured some works here, but I wanted to include her with this line-up. She is an elected Queen of Naboo, but, she comes from an Imperial political party, so when she feels the time is right (ie, during wartime, or if she has to engage in "hard negotiations"), she will wear an Imperial uniform to add some subtle suggestions that things might not go well if she is refused.

There are more on the way, so stay tuned, but I wanted to share some of the stuff I have so far just to shake things up a little and break out of the routine.
