WIP Wednesday!
Added 2025-06-11 23:03:24 +0000 UTCI did not have access to a scanner; I had to find another means to get a drawn image into my computer. So what did I do? I took a picture with my phone and then uploaded it to my computer! And frankly, it looked awful, but I made do because I had no other choice.
It worked, well enough at least. I started applying the digital ink as soon as possible while I still l had the idea visualized in my mind.
Once I got it cleaned up, though, it was indistinguishable from a "properly" done piece, IMO. So in this one we have Staff-Sergeant Ken Specter getting a physical check-up while in Kosovo.
At this point I've trimmed down the panel a bit to concentrate on the image; this is a three-panel piece and doesn't need the full horizontal spread of the panel-- it would be a lot of wasted space, so I just trim it to fit.
Really cooking now-- background, shading, highlights, etc. I am back in the USA now but I still have tons of Kosovo-themed comics scripted so I will run with this for a bit longer. As I type this I am a few hours late posting it here... I am at Ft. Cavazos (or is it back to being Fort Hood? Who knows these days) going through a demobilization process that is soaking up a lot of my time. That, and WiFi access is super limited. Sometimes I can use my phone as a hotspot though. 
And there's the final panel before dialogue is added. This will post at the main site on the 20th, and I have another one of these "phone scanned" versions for the 1st of July. After that I will try to go back to using properly scanned originals but it is nice to know that in a pinch this can work well enough.
