Ava gives a disagreeing snort of breath.
Nat fidgets before continuing. "But I always trust my partner. If they have committed to me, then why should I not trust them completely?"
"And what about other people?" Felix asks.
Mason slides his gaze over to land on Nat. "Like Bobby?"
Nat's fingers twitch into a loose fist before she draws her hands into her lap. "I guess, at times, other people I don't trust quite as much."
