So no, the Quincy are not dead and spirits. Yhwach literally explains the Quincy back then FLED to the soul society and HID in the shadows of the Sereitei

Sasakibe got him with the surprise attack, but you still see Yamamto do the final strike with his blade, and its been said by Mayuri earlier that it was Yamamto fault for failing to kill him. The Royd clone of Yhwach had around 80% of his power. Real Yhwach wouldn't change anything. Yama looked like he could beat Royd with just Shikai alone, he just wanted to crush his spirit so he used all of his Bankai abilities, even though he could've finished it much earlier.

Cour 3 of TYBW finished it's been a couple months now so that's why discussions have died out but the studio's official twitter account teased some news for March 21st if I'm not mistaken. Knowing the release schedules, we should be expecting the 4th and final cour of TYBW this summer as they've been releasing on a Fall-Summer cycle (cour 1 was Fall 2022, cour 2 was Summer 2023, cour 3 was Fall 2024 so if it stays consistent we should see cour 4 Summer 2025). Edit: correction, they teased news for March 21st on their twitter account

Quilges reishi from his jail seeped into Ichigo and awakened his dormant Quincy powers as Ywhach said, and as you correctly stated before it was implied, masaki kurosaki (Ichigos mother) was indeed a Quincy, but you’ll find out more about that in later episodes. Next, is the whole “my son, born in the dark” thing to end the episode. Ywhach is also known as the father of all Quincy, once again you’ll find out more about this later, but don’t be misled into thinking Ywhach is Ichigos dad, it was purely metaphorical. Also I know you read it but I’m not sure if you really caught it fully, that Aizen was able to use Kyoka suigetsus powers to mess up Ywhachs sense of time in order to force the battle to end early. And finally with Yamamotos Bankai, just to recap the ability. East: all the flames condensed into his blade, anything touched by it exploding with tremendous force. West: He is cloaked in all of his fire, causing the area around him, and his body to be hotter than the surface of the sun. South: The raising of his defeated enemies to use as soldiers against whomever he is fighting North: an all powerful slash that uses the entirety of his flames to cause massive destruction to his enemy. A few other things. If you notice in the flashback to the war 1000 years ago, Chojiro Sasakibe (Yamas lieutenant who died in episode 1) is the person who killed Ywhach originally. And there’s also a few more familiar faces in that flashback, wink wink. Props to you tho for seemingly paying much closer attention to the lore aspect of these episodes. A lot can get lost in the action but you caught a good amount of the subtle drops. I’ll end this off by recommending something tho, I’d release the last 6 episodes of season 1 in groups of 3. 9-10 are essential to be paired together and 11-13 are as well. 8 really doesn’t fit with them but it would make more sense to do 8-10 next week then 11-13 the week after.

2025-03-17 14:48:04 +0000 UTCIt’s a bit of a long story, but the gist of it is that Bleach went on a substantial hiatus due to the author Kubo’s poor health and as a result had a rushed ending, so the studio decided to not return to the anime until he was ready to be on board with it, now Studio Pierrot decided to buckle down having Kubo involved in every step to flesh everything out and crank it up to 11 to deliver on the series supposed end and for those that have waited up to a decade since the end of the original anime back in 2012 (2014 in dub) which has been so successful that as of the latest part 3 (Eps 27 to Ep 40 and onward) is being produced by a subsidiary part of the studio called Pierrot Films to deliver on consistent high-quality animation with the animator’s getting better pay, no more excuses on time or money. It’s almost as if they’re aware of the meta reason that this is to make up for all the years that during its hiatus was slandered to high heaven from other fandoms, whether it be due to the fillers or Bleach being far too subtly abstract and complex for them to understand since it’s a series that doesn’t hold your hand, this is to make it more clear cut with the pacing being similar to that of new gen anime, driving the point that Bleach always deserved to be in Big3 and to shut its critics and haters up.

2025-03-17 14:09:57 +0000 UTCRegarding Ep 7 Now that the 1st Quincy invasion of TYBW has ended here are the important takeaways- All of squad 1 has been brutally annihilated along with Yamamoto through cowardice trickery. The Quincy’s main abilities involve “Blut Vene” (Blood Armor) as both a healing defensive & activating offensive abilities + They have a Bankai equivalent known as “Vollständig”. The Quincy king Yhwach has noted 3/5 special threats: Ichigo-who seems to instinctively have one of these abilities being born in the dark, Kenpachi who was unfortunately clapped offscreen, and Aizen who he even asked to join him but was instead rejected and even have his senses altered a bit. They are now in the recovery & recuperation Ground Zero stage. Story and emotional impact wise this was merely the prelude to peak fiction of the highest degree as we finally get to see the OG 13 Court Guard Squads from a thousand years ago both in that film graded prologue of this episode and in the new visuals for the ED with only 1 remaining, in the Manga they were just silhouettes but here we get to actually see what they look like hinting at something greater in the future i’m just showing the parallels between Soul reapers & Quincys where they were then and how they are now + Byakuya painfully & sorrowfully breaking into tears entrusting the man who he once faced in battle with false authority to protect the soul society: ICHIGOAT! I had to reflect on this episode for a whole 10 minutes after finishing it for the first time. Absolutely speechless. They blew it out of the water & evaporated it out of the park. Shout out to the author Kubo, The Director Taguchi, Hiroyuki Yamashita as One of Naruto‘s best animators, the rest of the staff and apparently Fun Fact: A fan animator from back in the day that goes by “Retro Ryno” that they brought on commending him for his past work of replicating the beginning of this arc. This 🔥 is without question anime fight of the year 2022. As for the Sternritter Clone of Y the “Yourself” Kenpachi took out the the brother Loyd that has the same power except he could copy 100% power and 80% mind, while this one that Yamamoto took out can do that in reverse by copying 100% mind and 80% power, specifically of Yhwach in this case. This is only the 1st true major fight and exceptionally high priority episode of the Thousand-Year 🩸Blood🩸 War, expect more 🔥BLEACH🔥 GREATNESS AHEAD!!!!!!

The first half of his name "Yh-" is pronounced Yuha in hebrew and "-wach" is pronounced like "vah" in german, so together you get Yhwach (Yuhavah). They say it with a B instead of a V like why they say L for R and etcetera, it's a Japanese pronunciation. I could be mistaken on some things but that's what I read a while back.
