2023-06-30 15:00:01 +0000 UTCHad to put off listening for two whole days just so I could be ready (I take notes during these things when a specific series of words makes me laugh or piques my interest) and it did not disappoint. Taking a break before I get on the second half, but have to say that I absolutely love these little Behind The Scenes interviews! I really enjoy getting little background tidbits and further details on things as we go, and even just the writing standpoint questions are always amazing, like the one about the main character's role as a character in their own right or just a placeholder - I loved hearing that answer! I agree that without a little bit of stuffing when a player choice isn't really an option, the story would feel a bit flat, and I love your solution to that being to provide a bit of variation. One moment the character might be stoic or sarcastic. Personally, if I was confronted with the same problem, I think I would always make the MC, when empty of personality and a player choice isn't available, a bit snarky. The humor and levity in this series is always well-timed and exceptional, so that's something I would definitely try to emulate in my own writing!

2023-06-29 15:10:16 +0000 UTCThank you! You did a great job. I did enjoy it, but I'm pretty much in this for M now and am even more frustrated than before about where things stand with them, haha. Basically, my takeaways are: M is in love but doesn't know it and can't know until they think about it. But M will never think about it because they never analyze their feelings, which basically amounts to them never really knowing. And, even with this... ignorant love, if you will... the sex scenes are still meaningless and emotionless since M doesn't know they have feelings and doesn't want them.π₯΄ M and the MC are already in a relationship that is not acknowledged or defined, which is problematic for MCs who aren't psychic and have no reason to think M isn't screwing other people. It appears the MC can beg M for an actual relationship sometime way in the future if they insist on it being official. π M-mancers have never gotten "the kiss" with them. Hopefully, we'll get it, but I'm guessing this won't happen until the end of b5 or b6 or the end of the series since M is eternally stupid and doesn't feel their feelings. π³ Interesting takeaway: I never realized my M-mancer and N shared any qualities. That fear that N feels over losing the MC is there for my M-mancer, both because she's afraid Mason will get hurt/killed and because she's afraid M will soon be done with her and move on to his next target. And she can't control those fears. Of course, my MC doesn't get to ever express her fears, whereas N does, and N also knows the MC loves them back. Lucky N... I didn't really understand any part of the discussion about M being a coward, so can't even try to interpret it, lol. I just know that my M-mancer's bestie is A and that scene made me think M knows, only that isn't the case at all. π€·ββοΈ
