Hey folks! Thanks for joining us for another big debut, it's the Knight of Pentacles! Why is this such a big deal? I've been friends with the model featured (Jerome) for nearly 8 years, lived with him for 6 of those years, and he's never been painted!

The original model applied waaay back in December/January, but because of Covid-19, and a couple of deep talks with his partner, he had to drop from the project. He paid the deposit in good faith, and an opening was created. There were no hard feelings!
I looked over the card, and thought to myself, this kind of sounds like my roommate! He's loyal, hard working, and a very dependable person. Even when I moved out a few years ago, to live in downtown Phoenix, I'd still call him up to help with random things. He's a comforting force in my life, and a good guy.

Getting my roommate to actually do it is another story. He's pretty conservative with how much skin he reveals, and rarely posts on Social Media. I'm fairly certain it was combined effort from a few mutual friends that convinced him this was a good idea (mainly it was Best Tardy)! Plus look how cool he ended up looking!

You can't really see his eyes here, and the helmet didn't fit 100%, but we still got some neat pictures I think. One of Jerome's favorites is this one though:

Because he's not holding the pentacle, I photoshopped the design inside of his chest. He's holding an actual pentacle in the other photos. The likely card will be this:

Don't worry, his hand isn't on fire! I just painted over the Pentacle to give it a glowing effect.
For those curious about the helmet, it's a modified base that I built over to fit the theme!

So imposing! I'm very happy with how it came out. <3
Thanks so much for your support, and I hope you enjoyed learning about the Knight of Pentacles (and Jerome!). Have a wonderful day!
