Birthstones and Beyond Debut: Emma

Hi friends! We're back with another body Birthstones and Beyond body painting, this time featuring Emma! That's right, long time fan and supporter Emma gets painted by me every 2-3 years, and we were due for a new session!

When discussing the history of rocks, Sapphires have always been valuable, but they've meant a lot of other things too! Did you know that some people wore this gorgeous stone to protect from envy or harm, while others associated it with wisdom or truth?

Emma has been on a bit of a journey herself, defying expectations and choosing her own path. This trailer blazer moved here from the United Kingdom, and never (really) looked back.

She's moving through life with purpose, taking each day at a time, while forging new connections ahead. She's not only a published author, but she teaches workshops, and loves a good laugh! I know whenever we work together, there are always plenty of giggles, and lots of story telling. Did you know she used to work in a Prison? Lots to discuss there!

She looks pretty badass here, so maybe you can see it! ;p

During a recent show, a model thanked me for letting him in on the "fun side of art". He's only experienced the serious kind, and sometimes posing can be painful! Especially when you are a figure model for art classes in college.
