How does Coronavirus (Covid-19) compare to Spanish flu?

An excellent presentation though dated by the time of this comment. My stepfather and his siblings were all raised in Calif. orphanages since both parents died in 1918 pandemic. As late as the 1970's little public information was available except for a 2 page entry in Encyclopedia Britannia. The total deaths may be underestimated since little data was available at that time from Africa and most of Asia.
