[Novel WIP] Chiraki first encounter with Amai

This is still like 33% progress, and also still in introductory part. So no r-18 scene or mermaid transformation scene yet. Surprisingly took my brain power to write this, although all the ideas already in my head. For the character naming reference and to help you imagine, use this image

Not all character will appear here. The main focus is only Tena, Chiraki, and Amai.

At the beginning of the story Chiraki is not yet a mermaid.

On a side note, the whole 'Chiraki become a mermaid' plot is just an alternate story from the main storyline with the main focus around Utari and Tena. I will only write about this alternate story in this fanbox. Enjoy and please do give feedback if possible. Its my first time writing for public also. Thank you!

"Have we done yet, Tena?" Chiraki is getting bored going around the forest near the village while Tena introduced Chiraki to many of her 'friend'.

"Just one more, Chiraki! Also call me Tena-neesan please~"

"No."

It is currently summer vacation. Utari, Tena and Chiraki are going to Tena's hometown to take a break from the city hustle and bustle. After dropping by Tena's house, Utari just go straight to sleep. It took quite some time to get here, no wonder. Tena were just about to introduce to them her 'friends', though. Now its just two of them going around the village.

"Just how many of this thing you called 'friend' you have here Tena? All i can see here is just trees and small insects!" Chiraki can't see them at all, after all they were all spirits.

"Don't call them 'thing', Chiraki, they are real! I don't ask to be born with this ability to see them too." said Tena while they going through the forest.

"As expected from the only young miko around here." Tena were born from family who overlook the shrine in this village, and thus were naturally born with ability to connect with the spirits. The abundance of spirits she can see makes her have more spiritual friend rather than a physical, human friend.

"Ah, we have arrived."

"Where?"

Tena and Chiraki arrived at some lake deep in the forest. The area around the lake is quite hilly but also have some pathway and a little grassfield. There is also a little dock although there is no boat or anything there.

"So what, is the last one we gonna meet are the spirit of the lake?"

"Well, it is something like that, although not quite." Tena keep walking around the lake until they were at the entrance of something that looked like a cave, but its blocked by some large boulder.

"I thought we're gonna swim? I can't swim at all though." Chiraki a bit worried.

"No, Tena also not quite good at swimming ehehe." Tena picked a rock and hit them few times at the cave entrance. The sound echoes deep into the cave. Its seems like Tena making a specific pattern with her hits.

"Is that a passcode or what? Never thought a spirit would need a physical stuff to protect themselves." All other spirits Chiraki met is just... exists there, not requiring specific steps to meet them. This one is different.

"Yeah... this one is quite important for the village, but about this cave, she simply just lived here when i met her the first time. Also, this spirit have a physical form."

At the same time there are footsteps coming from inside the cave.

"Yes, yes~ coming~" The boulder that blocks the cave entrance slowly opening. It reveals a little girl coming from inside the cave, around the same height as Chiraki.

"Is there anything i can help you wit-" the girl carefully peeks outside.

"Long time no see, Amai! I miss you~"

"Tenaaaaaaa!~" the girl happily jumps forward and hugs Tena.

"Welcome back Tena~ I miss you too! How have you been? You know its lonely without you here hmmmh!" Tena usually going to see her once every few days, but since Tena goes to the city, this cave rarelo got any visitor coming.

"So.. is this her, Tena?" Chiraki finally can see this one spirit clearly.

"Ah!" the girl finally realized there is other people who she's not familiar to, and promptly hides behind Tena's back.

"N-nice to meet you. I'm Amai." Amai is not used to meet new people. Usually, she only been visited by Tena's family and thats all.

"Its okay Amai, she is my friend that Tena met from the city. Come introduce yourself too!" Tena points at Chiraki to introduce herself.

"Ah. yeah. I'm Chiraki, nice to meet you-, eh what?" suddenly Amai shakes Chiraki's hand vigorously.

"From city?? The one with big building and alot of people?? Wooow its city people! Nice to meet you Chiraki~." It seems Amai is fascinated by the word city and all its appeal. Spirits usually didn't go too far from their original place, so Tena have been telling Amai how various places looked like.

While Chiraki seems a bit bothered by Amai, she got a closer look on Amai's physical appearance. Amai's hand that is holding her now looked like it have a web between its fingers. Amai also have finned ears, and some pearls and coral on her head, although its probably just a hairclip. The most striking appearance is her legs. Amai have some faint koi fish-like pattern all around her legs. It looks like this girl is indeed the spirit of the lake, Chiraki thought.

"Tena, could this girl is actually a me-"

"Oh yeah~ don't just stay here, lets go inside and i will show you around my house!" Amai welcomes them to the cave, or more precisely, her house.

"Its surprisingly bright here." Chiraki taking a look at cave while they going deeper inside.

"Yup, it all thanks to Tena and her family~ they helped me making this cave brighter and more comfy to live in."

"Eh, Is that so? From what Tena can remember this cave were like this from when Tena still a kid."

"This were done few decades ago, Tena. Long before you were born."

"Ah, Now that Tena remember, Amai still looked the same as when i met her first time too." while Tena remembering her past, Amai also remembers something about Tena.

"Oh yeah, Tena, how long have you got that on?" looking at Tena's cat ears and fluffy tails, Amai remember that Tena actually have no such thing on her body. But in the past, while passing through the forest, there are rare occassion where Tena got possessed by some spirits and made her grow a tail and ears. This can be easily cured by performing exorcism, something that all Tena's family member can do.

"Should i exorcise them for you?" Aside from Tena's family member, Amai also possess similar spiritual ability and some magic-like spells too. She can do exorcism just like Tena.

"N-no, not now Amai. This spirit personally asked me for some help. Tena can't just throw her out like that."

"Ooh so that how it goes. I wonder why you were the only one in your family who have animal ears. At first i thought you came from some beast-like family." Chiraki finally understands one of few mystery surrounding Tena.

"Sssstttt.... Don't tell anyone about this, Chiraki. Tena is going to tell them later but it needs the right timing."

"Yeah, yeah, i understand."

After just a short time they arrived at Amai's house. It consists of a dome-like cave structure with a small body of water and surprisingly green, moss covered rocks as the floor. From the ceiling there are some holes that helps illuminate the whole area. In fact, this house is literally just the inside of the hill surrounding the lake outside.

"We arrived~ welcome to my house! Its pretty isn't it?"

"Woah, it looks nice, The light shining from above makes it even prettier." Chiraki is in awe looking at Amai's house.

"Also, also, this small lake here actually connects to the large lake outside. Isn't that cool~" Amai seems proud of her house design, even though it just a naturally occured cave and lake connections.

Ring ring ring! Suddenly Tena's got a call in her phone.

"Ah sorry, its from Utari." Tena put the phone in her correct ear, the human ear.

"Hello, Utari, what is it? eh? okay okay Tena will be back soon. Just put out the fire first!" It looks like something is burning near Utari, but Chiraki can already guess what happened there.

"Let me guess, its the stove fire again?"

"Y-yeah, Utari is already hungry so she tried to cook." Normally, Tena would be the one to cook for three of them. Maybe its already time for her to prepare lunch today also.

"For now Amai will show you around here. After you done with Amai, you can just go back. Tena will prepare lunch for today too. Tena going back for now, see you later Amai!" Tena hastily goes back to the cave entrance and leave the two girls alone.

"Wai- ah there she goes..." Amai still wants to talk about alot of things with Tena, but that must be postponed for now.

Thats all for now. Next update there would be some ecchi scenes by Amai and Chiraki. This will also be posted on pixiv once it completed.
