I was confused throughout the intro, as I’m sure you were about the ideas you were covering (shit I’m doing the whole projecting thing, aren’t I) but it made more sense to me when I rewatched it. People may not realize it but I think everyone’s guilty of doing [this] at some point or another. Whether you’re sharing your passion for certain artist, or submitting a book analysis for English class, you find pieces of the work that relate to you and you, in essence, make them your own. I never thought this was an issue until I realized it was for me at one point in my life when I befriend an artist in high school. He enjoyed my presence and encouragement of his music, and I enjoyed feeling like I was a part of the creative process. But looking back, I wonder if was I just trying to live vicariously through him. I wanted more credit for something that wasn’t mine. There’s a lot more to think about on my own, but thank you for being the catalyst of that reflection.
