Ripped off!

Hey folks! I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed right now as someone came to me saying that they feel I’m ripping people off. Because patreon is my main source of income I take these kinds accusations pretty seriously.

I’m curious if you guys feel like you’ve been ripped off or that you haven’t got the rewards you were promised. Also when you signed up did you notice that it tells you you will be charged at the beginning of the month. If you’ve think I’ve been purposefully ripping by you off let me know. I know I’m pretty slow at certain things and please feel free too share those instances. If you’ve enjoyed being here I’d love to read that too! So tell me, how has your patreon experience been?

Ripped off! Ripped off!

Comments

I’m kinda mad but not at you at myself and patreon I decided to join as a patron three days before the end of the month so I didn’t get any of the benefits

Brady Moss

It's a Patreon thing. He should be mad at Patreon, but directed that anger at you. With that said, I am not a subscriber at $100 monthly, so it's way easier for me to comment/judge as a bystander. But if I was charged for $100 for say, only a few days of July, and then I immediately got hit with another $100 for August, yes, I would be FURIOUS. It's a very natural reaction, everyone will react as such, I'd imagine.

Mattster

I kinda understand where the guy is coming from. Nobody does this with subsciptoons anymore - the charges are nowadays based on 30days from when you bought it, not calendar based. And it’s annoying when you ASSUMED it’s 30days, and then it’s the other way around. But hey read you t&cs 🤷🏻‍♂️

Olaf Zmit

I've had a fabulous experience, Michael! The posts, the prints, and the Skype times in particular are all top-notch. Only complaint was I was too sick recently to log onto Patreon in a week so this all new to me. I would have commented sooner!

James Chafitz

I'm at the lowest tier because, with the C-19, it's all I can do. However, I started at a higher tier and got what was promised. I think you're doing just fine!!

Christian

So, I understand why the guys is pissed but you did nothing wrong and he could have approached you in a more civil way regarding that matter. Regarding my experience with you, I have nothing to complain about, you're a sweetheart and it's always a real pleasure to interact with you ;)

Tom W.

No issues whatsoever here. I bounce from tier to tier, depending on my finances, but I've never felt ripped off and always was satisfied with the content you put out.

AJ Real

I'm very happy with the content and the perks received.

Luke Stark

No issues here ;)

Randy R

It's not your fault the "lovely" gentleman can't read. Someone not as nice as you might tell him to "go fuck himself", but I know you would never do that, so allow me to do it for you.

Scott Johnston

I do not feel ripped off at all.

Robert Gittermann

My only problem is that I didn’t realize patreon charges on the first. I just joined a week ago and didn’t read enough. I didn’t intend on repaying for this month. Was just curious and spending another 100 without realizing does have me irritated, though I know it wasn’t your fault per say

Wesley Hardin

I deliberately waited until after the 1st of the month to join here. It’s pretty clear when you sign up

Jordan Stiefel

Also, I've never felt ripped off. The terms are clear for those who can and do read them, so?

Michael Krausz

I really don't know what this guy is complaining about. You did give him his perks right? If you didn't, then he's right, but if you did, wtf is the complaint about??

Michael Krausz

I am sure that this person feels angry, but doesn't this drama queen know that you will not get anywhere by being rude and insulting at the get go. When you basically ask him to rewrite what he said in a calmer tone, he doubles down. Someone whizzed in his cereal and he's taking it out on you. Thanks for asking, but if we felt that we were being cheated, we would not still be here. Hugs, love and cool as a moose!!

John Dwyer

Just continue being you. The guy's problem is really with Patreon, even though the terms are made clear from the start. People can get pissy when it comes to money - I completely get that. But, he shouldn't have taken it out on you. Yeah, I'm really reiterating what everyone else has said, but i wanted my voice heard, as well. Continue on, my friend - you'll get no complaints from me. :)

Kent Babb

Definitely a patreon problem rather than your fault. Don't feel I'm being ripped off at all.. but I was lucky enough to do the subscriptions when they were far enough apart not to notice.

Chris Boulton

I can kind of see both sides, if you've signed up with only a few days left and are then charged again a few days later can be quite upsetting, especially when it's such a high amount and if you're on a very limited income. But it's more a problem with Patreon than with you. You can't really be expected to get all the rewards out a few days before the end of the month, and it should be obvious to everyone that access isn't going to continue once you cancel or drop your reward level anyway. I would say Patreon makes it clear when the re-billing will be, but doesn't always make it clear that you're paying on the spot too. Once upon you didn't get charged immediately, you got the rest of the existing month access as a free trial and your first payment was the 1st of the following month. Although really it should be prorata to make it more fair to both sides.

Ren

I agree with the majority of the comments. I signed up to support your you and what you do. I think you have been doing an amazing job and that you are an amazing person. The negative comment you posted was made by someone who obviously didn’t read the agreement. Here’s a virtual hug 🤗 since I can’t give you a real one. Keep up the great work.

Steve Smith

That would be nothing more than a Karen, capitol K. So they joined with six days left and expected special, individual treatment? Yeah, no. Not only were they rude and entitled, but an absolute waste of your time. Anyone that joins something like this should have the common sense to know that's not how these things work. Period. You're fine, love. Your content is always lovely, whatever the level. ❤️

Steven Potter

I'm agreeing with the common thread here. I signed on to support you, and I feel you've been doing a wonderful job. The person in that complaint was clearly over-reacting. They did not approach you calmly or politely. They went immediately to self-important and rude. I work in retail, and have for many years. I've seen that kind of behavior before. You even gave them an opportunity to rephrase their complaint, which they took as an opportunity to be even more rude. The way I perceive it, they didn't want resolution, they wanted ass-kissing (pardon my phrasing). You've been wonderful and interactive, and I feel that what you proved for the various tiers are fair. It's always difficult when a person is unhappy, because in hindsight, there will always be "woulda, coulda, shoulda" on both sides. Please don't take the complaint to heart. I would 100% support you even without getting something in return. Because that is what support really means. I am here because you are doing something you love, and you share that love with all of us. I want to encourage you to continuing to do it because we should never measure support by a sense of compensation, but by the knowledge we have helped another person to feel appreciated (however you want to interpret that word).

Paranormal

As someone who has been a $200 tier level for many, many months in the past, I never felt I was over paying, nor did I feel like I was being cheated. You are a creator and I’ve seen the work that goes into mailing and signing prints and shipping. However, as someone who is familiar with forums and blogs, I also feel this person might have thought the Batman level of Patreon would have gain an access to see things you’ve never offered not promised. Perhaps a sit in at a colonoscopy or a physical. Bluntly. Fuck that person. I am glad you blocked out their name, but honestly share it and let the people who are actually supporting the WORK and effort you are constantly putting towards Patreon supporters and other fans have had this diabolical douche canoe.

Chuck

Quite happy here in the Batcave. Been here a LONG time. No complaints. I'm very happy to support your work.

Nick Brown

It’s in bold print and very clear. And as others have mentioned this is designed to be a platform for continued support, not a store where you make a purchase. You’re fine, so don’t stress it.

Anthony

Just keep doing what you're doing, no complaints here :) Been a while since I signed up but I remember the auto-renewal being flagged for everybody pretty clearly so don't think you've done anything wrong

havok198

First of all, there is a way to go about “complaining” to get something fixed, this is not the way go about it, on the other end of a phone or email is always another human being, explain your situation and treat them like someone who can help, not like the enemy. You get what you give, any one who has worked in retail or hospitality (the serve industry) will confirm this... Old mate here started off ok with their “I’m not happy” and spiralled into pure rage, I don’t think they’re aware that even IF you sent the prints on the day they signed up, that with all the COVID shit happening they wouldn’t get it all within a few days of it being sent, in fact it’d probably be in the mail still... Snapchat is easily located on your page, and I’m assuming you have an automated responds directing them towards where to find it, if not a quick scroll will reveal it... $200 gets a Skype call, I have a few banked up but scheduling or technical issues on both side have always gotten in the way of a getting to chat, and if this person scrolls down your feed they’ll see you have times posted of when you’re free to Skype/FaceTime. You lock one in the comments and If they don’t work for you both, then simple, they can ask you to organise for another month via here or Snapchat, it’s not rocket science. Secondly I’ve jumped from tier to tier, pending my financial situation the last week of the month because it’s stated CLEARLY stated when signing up, that Patreon WILL charge you on the 1st of the month, this is regardless of when you signed up to the page, you could sign up on the last day of the month then POW, the following day, the first you’re charged again. But you can CANCEL at anytime as well! I’m pretty happy with the content I see, But if I’m being honest I’d love to see more videos of “Hamm tries...” “Hamm does stuff and things” “Hamm tries to cook” “Drunk Q&A” but I understand that that sort of content takes time to plan, produce and publish. I’d give old mate their rewards, thank them for the opportunity it’s given you to have a conversation with followers to “better your content” through their feedback and then remove them from following you. I’d make someone at Patreon aware of the situation as well, so they don’t try to take action against you. Stay safe mate.

Rob

I signed on to support you. That's it. That you send us things and put up fun posts is extra. Don't let the assholes get you down.

David Pasteelnick

I’m in customer support and that tone gave me a trip down PTSD. With that said, terms and conditions are there for the consumer and provider. I don’t give money to anyone without reviewing that. I’m a long time fan and only recent patron. I’ve purchased your prints many times. Regardless you’re doing a great service and negative words are often the ones hard to shake off. Have a kitty cuddle (if they consent) and try to focus on all the positive feedback. Much love.

Silkybutch

Mike - Given the feedback above, take heart that all you have done is appreciated. In today's consumer world, there are always going to be individuals who feel a little "short-changed". Take it on the chin, agree to disagree with his sentiments and do your best. You have overwhelming support. To the person that sent you the message, may I suggest you read the "fine print" and take some personal responsibility for your actions. I'm pretty sure that the platform you joined was Patreon and not mikehamm.com. Just saying.

Chris

Not at all, you’re a good guy and I support your art.. ;-)

Chadran Dygert

Patreon sometimes annoys me with the way it's structured, but I've never felt cheated by you. Heck, you could probably up the prices even more for all you do.

Nick

I have never felt that I have been ripped off at all. Anyone who subscribes should know that a subscription has a begin and an end date. If its a monthly subscription and you only signed up six days before it renews and you chose to cancel it, it is then therefore your own fault. Don't feel bad Mike, he sounds like someone who wanted to look at the goods and then ask for a refund.

Steve Garwood

I think the content is fantastic and I have never felt ripped off. Sure I am at the $5 tier level but I enjoy everything I get for it. As a matter of fact I will contribute to your creativity even more if I had the funds. Thanks for all you do.

Luis

I feel you are one of the most prolific content creators on Patreon. I am more than happy with what you are providing and honestly think you might be over giving, but I'm not complaining about that at all, obviously. And as soon as my financial situation is better, I plan to increase my pledge.

Jason Kivela

My only issue is that the $15 tier has no available spots. I would gladly upgrade if I could!

JB

I've never felt ripped off. I've only ever felt bad I couldn't contribute more. It's obvious how much effort you put into this by your daily posts. The email I get telling me there's a new post is the highlight of my day sometimes. I feel like this person's issue is really with Patreon and not you. Don't let this make you feel like you're not doing your best because you are and we love you for it.

PJ Carambia

I’m fairly new here and I will admit that the lack of prorating is a little upsetting but that has absolutely nothing to do with you! Sounds to me like the person who sent you those messages is upset because they don’t know how to read. Keep up the good work and thank you so much for sharing your talents with us!

Adrian Carroll

A long time ago, closer to the beginning, I did feel a bit ripped off. I think your expectations and plans for each tier were too ambitious at that time and you had a lot of trouble keeping up with all the things you planned. You’ve since adjusted those and I get that. But your content is very regular and always fun, and I enjoy being able to support another goofy, nerdy artist, which is what this platform is for. 😄

Hawk Owsley

Well, I think I've been subscribed since the very beginning of this crazy journey and I never had a problem at all that wasn't of my own doing. And when you did change the rewards for the tier levels you did so with an explanation that fitted with the changes. Your videos are always a rare highlight of how your misadventures happen and the prints are nice. Keep up the good work Mike. :)

Stanley Sineway

this guy is very suspicious to me. He admitted he was doing the $200 level one month only, and did it 5 days before the end of the month. Yes, he might not have read the details about Patreon's billing schedule, but the way in which he lashed out it seems more like he was hoping the $200 level had explicit content/nudes, there weren't any and now is lashing out to either try to get something for the money he spent or get the money back by guilting you. Michael, my love, I wouldn't beat yourself up over this message. I sure as hell hope this isn't a common occurrence for you on the platform; you don't deserve it and I think you've been pretty transparent here.

ericmashbuttons

I can't figure out what they expected to happen within a week of signing up...

Todd Jonker

I only pay $5 a month and don’t physically get anything but I’m happy with it. I mean I get pictures of you in my email almost daily sometimes twice daily so what’s there to complain about?

Curtis Little

Newp nyet nien sounds like he was expecting more something more than art

Jorge Mejia

Like nearly everyone else on here, I feel like I’m supporting a great creator and receiving a few perks at the same time. It’s certainly not your fault if this person neglected to read the details. It’s unfortunate, and one could almost feel sympathetic toward their situation... almost. It just goes to show that it really pays to approach most things with civility, and a level head.

Brian Robertson

I've been subscribed at the $5 level since February 2018 and haven't had any complaints. I love the cosplay, I love the thirst pics, and I like that you talk about things that are on your mind. Every now and then I'm tempted to up my pledge for the prints, but knowing me they'd end up sitting in a drawer somewhere so this tier feels perfect for me.

Aviel Dahaman

I actually have been ripped off by another creator on Patreon who promised a lot for a tier and delivered on none. Patreon did Jack shit when I tried to have them intercede. On the other hand you consistently deliver exactly what you offer. I wish Patreon didnt renew based on the new month but like the month anniversary when you signed up IE July 11th you're Billed August 11th..but that's no biggie. You keep doing what you do!

Mitchell Ralston

I've never felt cheated and have always been pleased with the content that you post. Keep up the great work you are doing and don't let the few unhappy clients get you down. You are a wonderful person!

Douglas Lynch-Hanlin

I suppose of he feels that aggrieved, have him renew at the minimum tier for August and give him the July rewards outstanding and call it even, then he "hets what he's owed" and it's all square and he can't complain you haven't listened.

Alex Dick

As I recall, when I signed up, it was a high tier, late in the month .. I got most of my rewards (except skype, which at that stage I wasn't looking to do anyway), just slightly late and with one or two substitute prints for ones that had run out. However, playing devil's advocate for a moment, I can see how a certain type of person would be annoyed by a call to subscribe just before the end of the month for the full price of a high tier only to not get some benefits of that tier due to pure time and logistics and then get charged again the full price a few days later. Most decent people would understand and not mind, I mean, it's not like I can always afford the higher tier and have to shift sometimes, but I do what I can and I understand content creators are humans. Some people are less understanding though, namely the Karens of the world.

Alex Dick

It's definitely not a rip off, Michael. They didn't read the terms, so that's on them. If you don't already, I would suggest adding a "please subscribe on or after the 1st," type of message on any Instagram posts encouraging people to become Patrons. I've received everything that I've paid for from you, and am extremely satisfied with my experience here. Heck, you even remembered a request that I had made last year when I came back from a few months away!!! Thank you for all of your content!!!

Stoney9599

No way dude! That's on them not reading properly. When I first joined Patreon it was because I wanted a Skype chat but I was nervous how it worked and dropping that much money straight up. So I joined at the lowest tier and once I knew how it worked I bumped up to a Skype tier. If that toxic p.o.s was a decent person, all they would have had to do is email you and say "Hey Mike, I stuffed up and joined late in the month and didn't get my Skype Chat and could only afford to pledge that once, is there any chance we could do a make-up Skype chat this month?" and I KNOW you would have happily done it.

Matt Gibson

Don't feel like an idiot, Michael, we've all been there. And we're here for you as much as you are for us, so talk to us anytime. I appreciate what you do and enjoy so much I just upgraded to a higher tier. Hope the rest of your day goes better. ❤️🤗

mdennard69

I don't feel like I'm being ripped off.

Gary

Oh my gosh, Michael, we're so sorry that you had to deal with this. We can't tell you how much value we get out of our tier -- you do so much to make us smile and brighten our day. We actually moved up a tier just because we were so impressed you thought about us and were willing to go to bat when Patreon was changing its tax policy. You're a patron-focused creator and a really thoughtful person, and you shouldn't let this get you down at all. We all get to choose whom we'll support, and we've all chosen you -- and speaking for us it's not just because your content is great (though it is), it's because you're great and we genuinely like you. Ignore the voiceboxes, Boy Wonder -- the HammFam has your back.

Ryen Rasmus

I have never felt ripped off by the tier I joined! Also in my experience Patreon is very clear that you pay the subscription the day you sign up and again on the first of each month

Mitchell

I have never felt like this subscription wasn't worth it. I cannot afford much so have no experience with the rewards tier but I have noted how open and communicative you are with everyone about when things are tough, or slowed down, or if you're struggling.

Kurt Steeves

I’m not one of the higher tiers, but I’ve never felt ripped off in the least. Also, if you’re reading this original complainer, the way to open a conversation is not with complaining, swearing, accusations and name calling. Have some dignity.

Matthew Davis

I've been on several of your different levels, had to reduce because of circumstances, but never been short changed by you. Have many amazing prints of you. I never got round to speak g to you on Skype as the timings never tied up. But that's not what I was getting it for. I was getting it to support you and see some amazing pictures of you, which I have got. The signed prints were amazing and always enjoyed receiving them. You've never short-changed me. I felt it was very clear and it said when it would renew at the start of the month.

Michael Caddy

Your daily posts are a bright part of my day. I enjoy your humor and your creativity. I don’t really know what this guy wants or expected. Continue to be you. You are appreciated. 💙

Christian Juel

As someone who has jumped up and down in Tiers I have not been disappointed one bit in your content. I think this guy expected everything as soon as he signed up. He could’ve handled things in a more respectful way. I hope this doesn’t get you down too much. I hope you’re doing well ❤️

Michael Mendez

Best few bucks a month ever! I get a smile every time you post... this guy doesn't get Patreon and wants the "goods" - I agree, refund him and ban him. You deserve more respect, even if he has an issue regarding value/membership terms.

Julie Shannon

I haven't got any complaints and I'm on here to support you. Your a great guy Michael and you have put out great content. I know you probably feel pressured to do more but don't let this guy get you down you are doing a great job.

Stephen De Mello

I have never felt ripped off. I have gotten everything in my tiers. I joined late the first time and was frustrated that I got charged again a few days later. However, I investigated a little and saw the terms and conditions from patreon. I dealt with it and didn't complain. Would it be cool if patreon prorated the monthly charges? Absolutely! However, since they don't and since the creator can't do anything about it it is what it is. I have jumped around tiers a few times. I currently sit at the lowest because that's all that I can afford. I stopped following all my other patreon creators because you are my favorite. When funds become more available I probably would go to a higher tier. Does it help that he freaked out? No, sure doesn't. Could this problem be fixed? Yes, most likely by giving him a free month or just finishing last months content they were expecting. Is it possible to make it more clear for those perspective new subscribers that if they join after the first of every month that the subscription is not prorated? I love your work. I'm sorry that you and this subscriber had this unfortunate issue. Best wishes.

Steven Hook

I've always enjoyed your content on Instagram and enjoy your creativity! I know your busy and we will video chat eventually. Don't let one bad apple ruin the orchard of people who love and support you. Keep that handsome chin up and may your success and artistic engenuity continue to flow! 😁

VelvetVoXx

I'm only on the "The Good Samaritan" Tier because i do not trust i would get what i'm paying for at the higher Tier levels. Every time i think about going higher i hear a story, or read a post, or see a tweet that concerns me, and i just can not financially justify what feels like taking a gamble on something that has a reputation of being misleading/unreliable.

Simon Peschar

Oof. Reading all of this is like... exactly what I didn’t know I needed durring quarantine. I feel like a fucking idiot for even posting this, but it just kind of broke me a bit.

Michael Hamm

I love my tier and the content you are sharing. For me Patreon is important because I know I’m able to support the creators I want. There might be months that are more productive than others because that’s how the creative process goes. I think this person is just someone who doesn’t understand that the purpose of Patreon is to give creators that comfort of a normal income so they can be able to take the time to make something of quality. Don’t let this person get you down, you’re putting out great work and I think they are just salty they can’t adhere to rules or billing cycles.

Morgan Paugh

I know the pressure you're under hon. I'm sorry this guy is being a fuck nugget. Please just take a deep breath and know that he is in the minority. I've never felt ripped off or stilted. You are wonderful, amazing, talented and you bring joy to a lot of people. Please let this one go.

Archangel Winters

I've had a similar experience in the middle of the month with $100 rewards, but given I was joining for the online material, not such a biggy. I don't consider it your fault, but mine (and Patreons for only updating at the start of the month, though I also understand the logic). Basically... I'm all good. And I understand his upset - we all want to support creators but not all can afford $200/m every month. You and I have chatted about this before and I know you're cool if someone can only do it for one month or two. But his ultimatum communication style leaves a little to be desired.

Joseph Petersen

In terms of content creators on Patreon, you are definitely one of the most prolific of those that I subscribe to. I'm not sure what this guy's deal is, aside from the ranting, whiny complaint he made. I'm not sure what he expected signing up at the end of the month like that, especially when Patreon makes it very clear they'll be charged again the following month. He's an entitled jackass and I wouldn't give him another thought. He's just looking for someone else to blame for his own mistake. There's plenty of people here who love the content you create and don't feel ripped off at all, myself included.

Nathan Anderson

I'm assuming he would still receive the benefits for July, even if it took into August to fulfill them? (which it should). It seems he wanted it ALL in a single day, which is absolutely ridiculous. I'm also only on the $5 level, but I've never felt ripped off, especially considering all the content out there from the past that is accessible. No, you should not feel bad or worry about this. If you feel it appropriate, refund him and move on. There's always one you can't satisfy.

Lee Keels

I also think he just misunderstands what Patreon is for. It's designed to let people support artists and creators IN AN ONGOING MANNER so they can have a predictable income stream while focusing on their art. If his intent were to support over months/years, then a few days here or there doesn't really make any difference. But if his intent was a one-off 'purchase', as it seems it was, then he's just on the wrong platform. If it's more than he can afford on an ongoing basis, he simply shouldn't have done it. If I were you, I would refund him his money, send a "Sorry this didn't seem to be the experience you were looking for" message, and block him from subscribing again.

TerribleJedi

I am so happy with my tier and the content you put out. You are constantly posting new stuff about everything you do and the effort you go to ever month with the prints and personalised messages warms my heart every time I get them in the post. You are doing a great job as a patreon creator and I couldn't be happier to support you. ❤️❤️❤️ How this person reacted is based on their misunderstanding of how patreon works and they dealt with the situation very poorly in my view. If you are supporting a creator you shouldn't lash out at them like this. We are all sending you positivity and love ❤️❤️❤️

Mark Redgrave

I think it's been clear all along I'm not sure what they are upset about tbh I feel I'm missing something did he expect you to drop everything 6days before the new month (when you are busy and struggling with mailers) to get him set with a Skype call mail him that months pics(I assume overnight) and everything else? That's unreasonable and selfish. Anyone with a bit of compassion knows there is a lag to things when one person is doing EVERYTHING if they want to be that frugal and everything common sense dictates you subscribe at the BEGINNING of the month! 1. You get everything in a timely manner 2. You get the whole month to enjoy 3. If you're cheap you have the month to cancel or downgrade to me this is just the "karen" mentality of today "if i bitch long enough and loud enough and demand the manager I'll get free shit" it's definitely NOT you hun you delivery what's promised and if ANY problems arise you address them IMMEDIATELY and offer solutions and recompense you KEEP doing you and the great job kitty hugs and cuddles sweetie

Aaron JWB Smith

Ugh. I’m sorry to see a glimpse of what you must have to deal with, Michael. Part of it for me is to help someone that must have lost a good deal of income without cons. That other part of it is that some of your pics are quirky and make me laugh. :) Thanks for that.

Jp

Looks like someone didn’t read the details and is trying his luck by lashing out instead. You just keep being yourself and try not to take this to heart 😘

Michael

I’m at a pretty low tier where I don’t get stuff in the mail or anything beyond that. Mostly because I hate mail and having extra things to keep track of. I’m not too sure what extras I am missing at the higher tiers, but I would suggest some bigger tiers that are digital only. That would save you time and money. It seems silly for someone to get mad at you for how Patreon works. Their issue is with Patreon not you.

Mark Latture

Mike, I've never felt ripped off! Always appreciate your work, and your honesty. Don't pay attention to that ass! Some people lash out at the easiest targets. Despite it not being the true cause of their emotions. Take care my friend, and keep up your good work.

Raymond Smith

Just want to echo what others have said ... I have been very satisfied with the rewards at my pledge level and very happy to continue supporting you! To be honest, my only problem is not knowing what to do with all the lovely pics I have of you now, but this is a problem I am more than happy to have! 😉 Keep your head up, and keep smiling! You are doing great, cutie!

Chris Williams

You haven’t ripped anyone off... I enjoy all your pictures and everything you post on all your platforms! I haven’t even tried to get some of my friends follow you on here as well! Please don’t let the negative people get the better of you since you are much higher and better than them!

Matthew Redmond

No I don't feel ripped off obviously that person doesn't know how Patreon works

Ronnie Oree

I’m “just” on the 5 dollar tier but couldn’t be happier. Sure it “sucks” that the content sometimes is both here as well as on FB and Insta but I truly understand that, just here for the support! And to be fair, the guy’s issue is with Patreon or his own thirsty ness and unwillingness to read what he’s signing up for. But I agree he should get what’s in that months package, so prints and a Skype call, as he paid full price for that month, albeit at the end of it.

Rick Kramer

Sending you love - dude’s a jerk and you are awesome!!!

Joshie-Creature

Some people just don’t read all the information right in front of them. I have loved everything you have been doing. If I had more money I could give you I would. Keep up the great work and just know you can’t please everyone. 😊

So basically it amounts to "I don't know how Patreon works and so now I'm mad at you for it" because that's real mature....

James Risenhoover

I have never once felt as though I've been paying more than what you deliver is worth. If I did, I just wouldn't pay it! I've not even been taking full advantage of what I am paying for (have yet to take a Skype session because I don't have the necessary equipment right now) and I'm still happy. Many people don't take into account the cost of what you do in terms of things like travel and materials, so if I can help with that I'm happy to. I remember when your cat got ill and you were able to cover the vets bills because of us, so knowing that my contribution was able to reduce that stress was worth it. Tl;dr - I would be very surprised if the majority of us didn't feel satisfied. 🤗

Fogg McQueen

He signed up on the 26th and is mad he didn’t get all his rewards by the end of the month? That’s a little crazy, especially right now. You have always delivered, always been open with us, and that’s why we love you and stay month after month. I will grant him that the way Patreon handles billing is bullshit, charging a full month when it’s going to renew in a couple days. I’ve learned to be be very careful on when I adjust my backer levels. None of that is your fault.

Brad Roberts

I’ve never really paid attention but does Patreon prorate the amount you pay based on the amount of time remaining in the subscription period? Besides that I would think that subscribing at the last minute you would consider that maybe the creator wouldn’t be able to fulfill the tier rewards before the end of the month but would include you in the following months rewards? If you’re doing it primarily for the support then why harass “your favorite creator” about rewards? We are all super stressed by the state of the world and I know we can all have hair triggers but this is a bit of an overreaction that maybe could have been handled better on the subscriber’s part :o/

Also just wanted to say big hugs to you and I’m sorry that this is upsetting you. You can’t control how Patreon charges someone, so if they don’t read the notification, that’s certainly not on you. Just keep doing what you do and know that the vast majority of people are happy with what you are putting out. Sadly, there will always be that person who is not happy, but after following you for years I know you are not someone who would rip someone off.

T.J. Finch

I think this is unfortunately a case of someone not reading all the details and then not wanting to take personal responsibility. As you point out, Patreon clearly states that the monthly charges recur the first of each month. You do a lot to fulfill your commitments and I’ve never felt that it wasn’t worth it. Don’t pay attention to this person lashing out.

Fauzi Hamadeh

Hey Mike, the same thing happened to me as I too subscribed mid-month. But that was in no way your fault, it’s a ridiculous ‘feature/oversight’ on Patreon’s part. When I mentioned it to you, even though I was new to you, you told me to unsubscribe for a month so that I wasn’t double-billed and so I could my money’s worth. I declined your suggestion, but very much appreciated the way you handled it. That guy is an ass-hat who should have sent you a polite message to question the double payment. His tone was outrageous and you don’t in anyway deserve that. You’ve always delivered, and you’ve always been charming about it too.

Rich Stakounis

I subscribed in the past at the $100 tier but it was a few years ago and was under a different account I think. I didn’t receive any of signed prints or photos which was very disappointing. I tried contacting you but received no reply. It’s why I’m only on the lowest tier now. It was on Instagram that I tried contacting you on Oct 18th 2019 with screenshots of my receipt of being on the $100 tier. I had joined on 2nd of May 2018.

Giles Reid

You know I am always impressed by your content from my point of view. If this is your source of income then so be it, be the best you can be👍 I know I cherish the pics and posts. you’re a brilliant person who puts themselves into all you do ❤️❤️❤️ keep up the great work

Ray Donovan

I’m only on the 5 dollar tier but I more than get my money’s worth every month.

Stephen Evans

Also, you’re absolutely worth the $200 and if I had that kind of money, I’d be happily paying it. Keep doing the amazing things you do 💖

Elix Risqué

I don’t think you rip us off at all. I love everything you offer to us and always get excited to what you post or what prints I get in the mail. Keep up the good work ❤️

Andres Mercado

I don't feel I've been ripped off at all and yes I knew I'd be charged at the start of each month. You're a dear sweet human please please please don't beat yourself up over this. (though I've got a feeling you will be upset about this) please know I support you Mikey❤️❤️❤️

Gavin Lowe

And for my experience, no I haven't been ripped off lols

Stasi Cavadias

I’m at the 15 dollar a month tier and I have no complaints. Honestly I went up to 15 cause I wanted the prints you send out cause they are so great and you don’t sell them anywhere else anymore. I’m not sure what he is supposed to get for that level but I don’t think him lashing out at you is the appropriate response at all.

Kyle

I’ve always enjoyed being here supporting you. I especially love the rewards you put out in each tier. I knew this would cost me but this is to mainly support you doing what you love to you.

Niko Lopez

Looks like they didn't see the notification that Patreon gives out that says it always renews on the 1st of the month so definitely more of a technical issue with Patreon and not something you did wrong! I'd reccomend they reach out to Patreon and explain their experience there

Stasi Cavadias

I have enjoyed every day of being a member of your Patreon. Keep up the great work. 🥰❤️

Ian

The entitlement of this person is insane. You don’t rip anyone off in the slightest. You post nearly every day, give updates about your cosplay, show behind the scenes stuff, do fun thirst traps, share your private Snapchat, do Skype calls... what more could they possibly want? Pay this person no attention, because that’s probably what they’re desperate for.

Elix Risqué

I’m at the lowest tier right now, so I definitely think I’m getting all I wanted and more. I get to see your pics and have been able to interact with you a little. As for the quality of the pics and vids, I think they are great and definitely worth what I’m paying. I wish I could pledge more but with all that is going on in the world and being on a partial furlough at work, it’s all I can do right now.

Excellent as always
