Thank you!

well hello there, this is just your friendly neighbourhood Michael Hamm stopping by to offer thank you. You know, classic Michael Hamm stuff.

The other night I was… Let’s just say a little drunk and when I woke up the next morning I found this note on my phone. To be honest it’s a bit more aggressive than I usually am but hey, I guess drunk Mike is just a bit more aggressive than regular Mike. That said, when I read it the next day I knew exactly what the intention behind it was even if I didn’t really remember writing it. I remember being drunk and laying in bed and thinking how grateful I am for everything. Even in this year of garbage I am so thankful, and I have so much to be thankful for. He quickly came to my attention that a majority of the things I’m thankful for our due to Patreon, and are because of all of you.

I just laid there staring at the ceiling thinking about how incredible all of you people are for doing this for me. And maybe, just maybe, I was also staring at the ceiling said that the room would stop spinning but that’s neither here nor there lol. The point is that I can’t believe what my life has become and I know I’ve said this 1000 times but I truly can’t. Believe me this isn’t a glamorous life, especially this year. Not to be fair I’ve had some incredible opportunities in the past because of Patreon and it’s allowing me to go to comic book conventions, but it’s a dirty, difficult, and Delirious job. I eat, sleep, work out, sign prints, make costumes, shoot photos, and a lot more from a 10 by 10 square. I try to make my life look a bit glamorous on Instagram but it’s really nothing like that at all. But, and this is a big but (ha, big butt), The one thing about this job is that it is in no way a thankless one. And that’s what keeps me doing this.

There are so many other things I could be doing, and there are so many other things I have done, but modelling and cosplaying with the support network has been unbelievably… Unbelievable. The support you all show me is incredible and sometimes it feels unwarranted But I am nonetheless incredibly indebted to all of you. Clearly when I wrote this note I was having a rough time personally but feeling incredibly grateful professionally. I don’t feel that way now necessarily, obviously the quarantine has it up and down moments, but I did just want to give another thank you to all of you. I owe you everything. And while saying that might sound hyperbolic it’s true I owe you guys so much because you are the creators of my happiness. You allow me to for fill my dreams and I’m incredibly grateful for that. OK sappy stuff over, I love you all ❤️
