I figure since it’s Friday I might as well hit you all up with another fitness Friday! It’s been a weird time because the gyms are all open again but if I’m being honest they seem to be a little too full for my liking. Maybe that’s because this whole Covid thing has made me more of an introvert than I’ve ever been, or maybe it’s because a lot of people are just very excited to get back to the gym. Personally I love to see more people at the gym, or at least they used to.
I was never the type of person who would get upset during the New Year’s when the gyms would be flooded with people. It was actually the opposite. I love seeing the gym filled with people trying to realize their New Year’s resolutions. Even if those didn’t pan out for more than a month or two it was still nice to know that those people tried.
I’m still somewhat excited to see people but it’s been a bit overwhelming at times. There are some days where I still work out from home just because it seems a bit easier and less stressful. I know I’ll get over this pretty soon, especially when I’m fully vaccinated, but yeah… Tricky stuff.
Now this is the part where I mentioned that I am extremely lucky to even have the gyms open, and I’m very very very grateful. Currently I don’t have any particular fitness goals other than “be kind of healthy”. My diet has been pretty shit as of late but I’m making up for it in the gym so I guess that’s OK. I’m seeing a physiotherapist in the next few weeks so if he thought this fitness Friday was going to be about my shoulder, stay tuned.
