Mr. Fancy smancy Raven claw boy!

I wanted to post another shot of my Harry Potter inspired shoot and tell you all about this wonderful experience!

This was a look I put together months ago for a Harry Potter themed after party. When I put it on, I figured "ah hell, let's post a selfie" and when I did, it became apparent that people really enjoyed it! I rarely wear anything other than a t-shirt so my options were let the outfit sit and rot in my closet, or rock it for a shoot with the amazing Shaun Simpson.

Shaun and I decide to rent a room because it didn't make sense to shoot something like this in studio. Being on location was an interesting challenge because I had props to interact with and I was able to move from location to location. It was a little intimidating but luckily the glass of wine prop was actually many glasses of wine. Another reason I didn't have to be too worried about location is because *spoiler alert* the power in the building went out for hours.

The eagle eyes patrons may notice that this photo is very similar to the first one I posted. The reason for that is because this was the only spot in the room we rented with enough light to shoot. We ended up with about 45 mins of iffy daylight we could use to shoot. We shot by the window for 45 mins and then used the 40 mins of battery power shaun had in his lights to shoot elsewhere. And I'm not exaggerating to say that some of these shots were taken using our phones as flash lights.

Shaun is a god damn photography wizard (haaaaaa)

When we were done, the room was pitch black, we could barely pack up because we couldn't find all the gear, and it was almost 10pm by this point. Shaun couldn't find his keys anywhere and after about 15 mins of looking, the power came back on. We were both too drained to reshoot anything and both of us left feeling defeated. I don't think either of us truly thought this would work out.
