How do post placeholders work?
Added 2020-03-29 07:06:34 +0000 UTCRather than simply uploading drawings and stories directly, I first upload a "Post Placeholder" with a placeholder drawing.
Within a few minutes, I will then update that Post Placeholder with the true post, adding the actual drawing and story to it.
This is to protect my work against piracy. Some piracy sites that automatically scrape Patreon cannot get around this method, at least for now. Of course, this doesn't protect my work from other forms of piracy, so please don't share my work until I make it public!
(Once it's on my deviantart, it's all good though!)
