I love the comparison you pointed out regarding Yusuke and Kuwabara! I truly believe there is more complex feelings to Yusuke and I’m curious if this show will continue to peel those layers of him 🤔

He definitely has showcased the capacity for kindness and even true good but he is also still a delinquent and an adolescent. I think in that regard, Kuwabara works as a great contrast to Yusuke. While they’re both delinquents in their own right, Kuwabara is seen attending all his classes and has fostered a close group of friends whereas Yusuke is always skipping school and just has Keiko. Kuwabara is not a scholar but he pushes himself all the same while Yusuke from the perspective of most has all but checked out of society. If it weren’t for Keiko, he’d likely have already dropped out of school. Looking back at the earlier episodes, all it took was one bad interaction with a teacher and he gave up on being in school for the rest of the day. Even when encouraged by Keiko out even the one good teacher in that school. Just some thoughts to consider
