Quick Poll! Our Life Second Artist
Added 2019-11-18 21:17:38 +0000 UTCHello! We've got a very quick poll that's not tier-exclusive because we need a fair amount of input. We're looking to hire a second CG artist for Our Life and have gotten a test run done.
We'd like you to let us know what you think of it. We attached an image with Cove's sprite on the left and the test image on the right. Please vote on if you like the idea of this look being used in CGs or if you think it wouldn't fit.

2019-11-20 07:35:38 +0000 UTCI think its really good, though I think I'd do a tweak of the neck. The neck feels too long especially when com pairing it to the original sprite. Other than that, I personally find it very visually pleasing.

The original has sharper edges, while the new art style is rounder, his neck is longer and thinner, making him feel a bit more feminine. I also noticed the original uses thick lines for outlines and thin lines for details, while the new style uses thinner lines overall. I personally prefer variety in line thickness.

2019-11-19 00:49:19 +0000 UTCI like it overall, but I feel like a few things about the second image make Cove look too feminine. The hair as mentioned above could use more thickness and his neck and shoulders are a little too rounded compared to the first image.
