2020 Plans ★

Happy New Year! Again, haha.

We made a quick post on the day of, but now we're going to do a full recap/look forward. Last year was pretty amazing and 2020 is primed to be even better.

In 2019 we finally released the Our Life: Beginnings & Always demo on Itch.io after a very long development period behind the scenes. But all that persistence ended up brining more than just personal satisfaction as it's been our most well-received project to date! We weren't even prepared for how many people ended up taking an interest in the game. That was pretty clear when we launched a Kickstarter for OL and were funded in less than a day. More than once we had to come up with brand new stretch goals because all the ones we originally planned for were reached with time to spare. Working on the project and sharing it with everyone has been a real joy for us.

Our goals for Our Life this year are:

-Update the demo to have an expanded/improved script and with the fancier versions of the screens implemented 

-Release the OL: B&A demo on Steam and the Google Playstore

-Put out new beta builds of Our Life: B&A every month until completion 

-Release the base version of Our Life: Beginnings & Always + 3 Cove DLCs this summer!

-Release the Derek Romance DLC, Baxter Romance DLC, and Cove Wedding DLC before the end of the year. Maybe. It might just be two out of three in 2020 and then one of those will come out in 2021. We want to make sure we keep the quality high. 

-Begin making general plans for Our Life: Now & Forever, including test sketches, this spring

-Have a finalized story premise and some official art of Our Life: Now & Forever to share in fall

The new game release of 2019 was the free version of XOXO Blood Droplets. People have continued to get a kick out of the XO gang and put up with the antics of those crazy characters, even after having them around for almost two years already. Which is good because we don't plan on letting them rest any time soon, haha.

Our XOXO Series plans for this year are:

-Put out XOXO Blood Droplets beta updates every two months or so until completion 

-Release the XOXO Blood Droplets DLC this spring!

-Start formatting the new art assets for the XOXO Droplets remake for Renpy

-Begin transferring the the old XOXO Droplets script into the new build, editing along the way

-Release a beta of the XOXO Reunion prologue to our Patreons 

Besides, those two big series of ours, there's some smaller projects that are still trucking along. Floret Bond is more of a fun personal project, so our bigger games have to get priority most of the time. I've decided not to make it stressful by worrying about getting it out already. I'll be working on it here and there when I can. Eyes of the Echo is actually far along in production, I just don't remember to post about it for whatever reason. It has 90% of all art assets and an entire first draft of the script. If we could find a good programmer to put it all together it might even come out this year! We can't guarentee that yet, though. 

Our goals for everything else are:

-Edit the completed first draft of the Eyes of Echo script

-Release an Echo beta for Patreons

-Work on Floret Bond to some degree. 

-Do an extremely special thing we can't announce just yet!
